I'm so glad I came across this! I am interested in CDI and was having some imposter syndrome because I don't have ICU/ED experience. I am a nurse with public health, utilization review, mental health, and reproductive health experience. I've done some coding/billing in previous roles as well as extensive review of medical records since I work in infectious disease surveillance. And in the past three years since working remotely have realized i really enjoy working with data and sitting in front of a computer. This is really helpful Thanks for posting!!
