I’ve already had 2 shoulder surgeries and then on top of that I got this procedure. 39% chance of success is not cool to know but hopefully I recover well. I’m 17 btw

I'm 27 and I had Latarjet procedure in October 2021 after Bankart repair in 2017 which I failed in 2021. I did it even though I saw comments about potential nerve injury when I made the decision. I do sports that's why I decided to have these surgeries, I hoped they would help. I can't believe that I am not able to flex my biceps at all, also I experience constant pain, totally regret having Latarjet surgery. My musculocutaneous nerve is injured, electromyography says I've got Neurapraxia. I keep exercising and thinking positive, but I'm so scared at the same time. Do people usually recover after such things? Is there any statistics or research about frequency of such complications? Thank you!

did you recover? just wondering since i just had laterjet surgery a month ago

@@santilano8417 Unfortunately no, I just wasted another nerve. So, as a result i have unstable shoulder, dead biceps, and weak right hand. I don't think I'm coming back to sports, I can't play drums well either. Everyone reading this, think twice before you have this surgery

this surgery is better if performed at a early age ig (27 is early i believe) Usually this surgery comes with complications when at an older age >35

I’m 35 I wish I would’ve got this over with when I was younger but still better late than never.
