Am I the only one who thinks that the ways other people (especially this fellow) teach about the bones of the human body, their joints, articulations etc are so fascinating and way better than the way it is taught in class by most professors (especially in Lab classes) 🤔?????
@timothymoore1618 Жыл бұрын
I agree 100% he is awesome!! I learned more from his teaching approach than several other sources.
@ulissescamargo10 ай бұрын
I thought the same, and surely many here did. In my case, the biggest difference is that he teaches things connected and describing their function, whereas my teacher used to show us completely in separate (bones, muscles) and with no overall description of function. That makes a huge difference in making a student understand anatomy.

I love how calm and slow he talks. It makes all these concepts feel so much less daunting. Also In general I would learn so much better from videos like this than I would in a lecture with soulless power point slides with burnt out teachers reading them as fast as possible. If i just went to school and just watched videos like this I would know so much more than I do in lecture. Like just show me movies and videos and have a teacher there if we have questions. As of now I cant focus in class and I learn 95% of the material at home by myself with quizlet and these types of videos. THANK YOU for this video

This video is so good ! Because now that I’m in the muscle chapter of A+P, I’m realizing that I didn’t build a strong core knowledge of the intricate details about bones such as the ligaments, bone markings, features and etc. Learning about the origin and insertion of muscles was a little confusing for me because I couldn’t recall those minute details of bones but I love how this video ties it all together and I also like how you demonstrate the action of the muscle because some of the videos on here only say it verbally.

This is the best video I've found that goes over the bones, ligaments & muscles all in one video. Thanks. The only thing seems to miss in the glenoid labrum, which is what the long head of the bicep tendon attaches to. It's not clear from many diagrams whether the glenohumeral ligaments are actually separate from the shoulder capsule, or if they are just the ligaments that make up the shoulder capsule?

This is super helpful! I wonder how the coracobrachialis muscle intersects and functions with all these other muscles. I have pain there! Thank you.
@larsnystrom6698 Жыл бұрын
@margaretrattenbury7873 I did have pain in coracobracialis decades ago. If I remember correctly I thought it was from bench press. It assists in lifting the upper arm in an inward movement, I thought. That problem went away by just reducing bench press for a while. That muscle isn't a main mover. So it shouldn't be a recurring problem. But it were alarming for a while, because it looked like it was a large swollen blood vessel in the arm pit!

This was good! I think you should have talked about the labrum glenoidale too. As a complete amateur, I think it's important for the stability of the shoulder. And it can be damaged by an accident, which cause pain and lasting trouble. I liked that you told us that the function of the rotator cuff is to hold the joint together. Most people talk about it as if their main function is to rotate the humerus. I think of it as if they mostly follow the rotation, and hold it together during the movement. But, as I said, I'm an amateur. I have recently begun using Indian Clubs and heavy clubs for exercise. So I'm therefore thinking of the health of the shoulder. That's why I got to your video. Otherwise, hanging in a bar is very good for the shoulde, I have found! 40 years ago, I felt something which probably were supraspinatus related during one kind of side delt exercise. So, since then I have tried to avoid such trouble. And succeded with that, it seems!

This is EXACTLY what i was looking for!!! Thank you so much. I was always wondering why my humeral head moved slightly inward during side laterals😂 also, could you answer this simple question ive always wondered about? When arm is raised overhead, there are two main paths : flexion and abduction. During flexion arm internally rotates past 90 degrees and during abduction arm externally rotates, is it correct to understand this is due to glenohumeral centration?
