Why do i need the dragin balls for?

you won't be able to play as the gathered characters without them

in extra mode when in a stage press the select button and a menu will pop up and you can change characters there

good question "go into survival mode in 1 vs 1 and beat everyone once you get to Cyborg Tao beat him and you'll unlock him in 1 vs 1 mode" and he is only playable in 1 vs 1 mode

I got them all on the Japanese version easily with cheats on emulator but it feels impossible to get them on the us version
