Love this! All through the show he was talking about how he's not a roll model or hero and all that, but all I can think is that he has inspired *so many people* to be better! First Natasha, then Kate, then Wanda and Pietro. His kids clearly adore him. It was really sad, because we were seeing all these people thanking him, calling him a hero and all that, but he just did not believe it. Yet we've seen it so many times! I love him and I love this edit!

I just worked out _why_ the stones can't bring Natasha back. On the surface level, yes, it's the rules, a price and a sacrifice. But the line 'a soul for a soul' suggests something. When you arrive at the world, there is no soul stone, never was. You take a soul _from_ someone (so you have to kill them first) and it constructs the stone from that soul. This soul stone is made of Natasha's soul. So, resurrecting someone. It's actually a simple matter of correctly arranging the correct atoms and energy (space, time and reality), making a body and attaching a soul (mind and soul) But in Natasha's case they're is no longer a soul to attach. It's on your hand. Even if you did turn the stone back into a soul, now you can't bring that person back, you don't have a soul stone to manipulate it. Catch 22, hence you can't bring them back. In a literary sense this also follows the rules of magic and spells we've written down the ages, price. For instance, in a lot of cultures of you curse someone it comes back twicefold on you, that's the price of evil. These are the myths our stories are built from
