INFAMOUS_JEDI Indeed it is. What seemingly began as "just another cheesy, generic comic book villain organization" gradually revealed itself to be a very complex and memorable faction. In particular, I enjoyed how Zola was insightful enough to anticipate the impending 21st century trend of "the age of information" (with the exploitation of said trend forming the basis of Project INSIGHT); such a modern day topic felt very relatable to me. Zola also gets bonus points for having been able to extend his influence without needing to rely on any supernatural/mystical tools (e.g. the Infinity Stones we keep seeing throughout the MCU), and deserves even more credit when you realize that his influence lasted decades (the same of which can't be said for larger scale villains such as Loki and Ultron).

Zola is such an underrated character in these films. I hope that when we get the inevitable 60's Silver Age sotrylines, we see him as a scientist working for S.H.I.E.L.D just biding his time patiently.

If Hydra had any brilliance at all they would have recruited the foes of the Avengers. Imagine how powerful they would have been if they had Obediah Stane, Ivan Vanko, Adrich Killian, Quentin Beck, Norman Osborn, Otto Octavius, Abomination and the Leader working for them.

Same. There's really no point in bringing Red Skull back when he has no HYDRA to command. It's been over 70 years since the Tesseract made him vanish. There's no way he got lost in space and is still alive and kicking now.

Doesn't need to be BS explanation because the way he was taken out was quite ambiguous. It appears that he was teleported across the cosmos by the Tesseract. He could reappear as an adversary without needing to reform hydra. Perhaps Thanos is saving him to face Captain America.

This is why I believe Vision's theory in Civil War to be incorrect. Chaos and villainy long predate the Avengers (plus Thanos would eventually come to ravage Earth with or without their existence. Tony Stark and Steve Rogers could never have been born and it wouldn't change that fact). If anything it's the opposite. Great evil has always existed and the Avengers were the inevitable rise of challenge against villains. I mean honestly their biggest threat so far has been politics, infighting, and a monster of their own creation (Ultron). But when they were united and allowed to operate as an independent entity, they rapidly crushed a ton of Hydra bases and could have continued to do so if they saw fit. Coulson's SHIELD eventually got around to systematically eliminating remaining groups (it was really downhill for them after TWS, with Hive being their last big attempt at claiming power), and I believe that would have been sped up if the Avengers weren't tied up with Ultron and then the Accords. They were really the ultimate crushing force to villains on Earth, like powerful white blood cells flushing out an over ambitious virus. Hydra invited challenge and catastrophe first. The Avengers were the inevitable response.

Exactly, it all started with the tesseract ending up on earth and collected by red skull. Even if capt's experiment fail, loki would have came after escaping to earth to take the gem for thanos and all will be lost anyway.

Well said man! Although he is a supercomputer filled with LOGICAL information Vision is too young and innocent to FULLY understand philosophy and morality. The same as Ultron who couldn't understand either, Viz just took the opposite route. Deep inside of him are feelings he does not understand yet. I believe his comment was made out of some form of insecurity and wanting the world to accept him. To be more human and ultimately to avoid conflict. Sure with bases in logic but not complete fact. A statement made not because he truly cared for the politics.

I don't particularly like everything they've done with it. The Inhumans part I love, Ghost Rider was awesome, and the whole Hydra thing was amazing. I just... I've been rewatching the first season, and I can say wholeheartedly that the first season is the best season. By far. Everything else, especially now, is just super boring and not fun to watch.
