"Your prison is walking this world all alone" I feel that. Its a sad, lonely feeling. I love this song.
@theoutlawchristian434 Жыл бұрын
It does hurt, doesn't it? For myself, my poor decision making turns the prison sentence into an accessory to murder charge. Life was taken, not in blood, but via the death of my soul itself. I don't even know if I even have the ability to let someone in at this point.

What this song means for me . The "desperados " of selfish desires, uncontrollable ways within one's self for personal gain at any cost. For short lived pleasure and satisfaction that fades and then drives you to more wrongful living. God's Word (Bible) teaches us to practice self- control and because we think we have it within us. The abilities to go it on our own, we will always give in to the "desperados" of self. It is, however, when we turn to The One who loves us (Jesus Christ), then we have come to our senses and the power of uncontrollable wrongs in our life. Are now overcome through Him.reference 2 Thessalonians 2: 7 and 8. A beautiful song that is sung with such depth and clarity. Thank you, Clint Black for your rendition. Thank you LORD for using this song to help drive home my personal dependency on you to overcome ( the "desperados " sin in my life) I pray that others who are seeking to learn self-control may benefit from my comment so given.

Yes, you can let those fences down. Turn to The One who Loves you. GOD loves you. Don't let the views of this world control you when God's love overcomes even the selfish "desperados " of our life. Read Psalms 59 and 2 Thessalonians 2: 7 & 8. Read Proverbs and Psalms each and every day. Allow God's love to enter your life and then allow God's love to flow out of your life to others. Trust God...not self. Below is my personal comment posted on this youtube song. I thought it may help. What this song means for me . False attribution. This song WAS NOT written by Clint Black. It was co-written by Glenn Fry and Don Henley and first recorded in 1973 by the Eagles and then Linda Rondstadt that same year.
@brianwesley283 жыл бұрын
I have a question? Perhaps we should ask The Eagles? The part you only want the ones that you can't get? Do they imply that the person only wants the ones who don't want the character in the song, or are they implying that the standards are too high for what they perceive the person's societal level is? 🤔
@johnmorgan72792 жыл бұрын
I’d guess the latter
@brianwesley282 жыл бұрын
@@johnmorgan7279 That's probably the more difficult of the two options. It's not easy, if even possible, to lower standards. I guess the character should improve himself, presumably, in order to incresse the odds of attaining the high standards? Thanks for the reply. It makes sense.

@@genuinemorgan One has to strive to improve, though. The Scarcity Effect?
@genuinemorgan Жыл бұрын
@@brianwesley28 Well the lyrics do not seem to be written in those concepts. Just IMHO; there are different life concepts - (i.e.) if you repeatedly reject those that are good for you & repeatedly choose the ones that are not? It stands to reason that behavior would be harmful to you. It's bad decision making simply b/c you've never recognized what is healthy for you. . **There is no presupposition that the people one wants is socially better or better off**

Desperado Eagles Desperado Why don't you come to your senses? You've been out ridin' fences for so long now Oh, you're a hard one But I know that you got your reasons These things that are pleasin' you Can hurt you somehow Don't you draw the queen of diamonds, boy She'll beat you if she's able You know the queen of hearts is always your best bet Now it seems to me some fine things Have been laid upon your table But you only want the ones that you can't get Desperado Oh, you ain't gettin' no younger Your pain and your hunger They're drivin' you home And freedom, oh, freedom Well, that's just some people talkin' Your prison is walkin' through this world all alone Don't your feet get cold in the wintertime? The sky won't snow and the sun won't shine It's hard to tell the nighttime from the day You're losing all your highs and lows Ain't it funny how the feeling goes away? Desperado Why don't you come to your senses? Come down from your fences Open the gate It may be rainin' But there's a rainbow above you You better let somebody love you (Let somebody love you) You better let somebody love you Before it's too late
