Clint Mansell is so humble and appears so approachable, despite the fact that he is so monumentally talented. It was a real pleasure to listen to him talk about pop music for a few minutes. His scores are essentially the soundtrack of my life, but I've really connected with his work since PWEI.

My Introduction to Clint was P.W.E.I performing “Def Con One” on channel 4’s Club X. I went straight out and bought it, still works today, a great mash up of Twilight zone, The Stooges, and The Osmonds, and even The Banshees if I remember. There’s a story I read that he gave Nick Cave a scar on his forehead for calling him a “F**king Limey” true or not I’ve spotted a scar on Nick Caves head in Photos over the years and wondered...

Watched Clint fronting PWEI in Sheffield Octagon in early 90's. Good times. Got a PWEI pass through a friend to another venue, Leadmill, where PWEI were partying, and got suckered punched. By a coward, who was walking out of the venue.

Clint using English when he means British. Alan Grant writer of Judge Dredd was Scottish, infact a lot of 2000AD were Scottish. Fuckin annoying when English people do that.
