🎉 thank you for all the views. FIRST AND FOREMOST. I OWE URTOPIA SORT OF AN APOLOGY. MY review was HYPER specific to Urtopia’s Chord X. I feel like I did Urtopia a disservice by not explicitly stating that they carry other bikes, that do not have the issues that I expressed about frame size. The new Carbon Fiber 1 Pro. (Review on that model is in the pipeline ) I know no one gives a crap about how long it takes to produce a video like mine, that are even marginal in production value compared to a lot of review channels, but it does take a bit of free time to make these, and there are only so many hours in a day. Again I digress. The carbon pro 1 is a totally different beast and all of my beefs about it being built for slender folks are NOT AT ALL applicable to that particular model, and in fact, kind of solves all of my review points about rider weight and size. Insider info…they are dropping a sick class 2 carbon fiber Ebike in a few months. I had the pleasure to see pictures of it from my stellar rep at Urtopia (shout out to Yuan, the hardest working manufacturer rep I have ever met. Dude is logging some serious frequent flyer miles this past month. He’s a great guy and is serious about his business and he is passionate about how unique Urtopia is, inside the crowded market place. If anyone at Urtopia is reading this, give that man a raise) Anyway, I was again given a sneak peek at a closely held upcoming product and all I can say is WOW! Get ready Ebike world. This jammy is going to solve a huge hole inside the Ebike world, I promised to not disclose any details, so I obviously won’t. But if you are interested in a Urtopia core brand solving solution for creating ultra light weight Ebikes and you want a full class 2 Ebike . Get ready for a baller solution. Okay, moving on. Please feel free to ask me questions here in the comments section, as opposed to emailing the shop. A bunch of you fine folks have asked the same/similar questions and posting my responses here may save y’all some time. I’ll start with the common emailed questions. Yes, they come in 3 different paint colors. White, Black and Gray Yes, we can drop ship them anywhere in the Contiguous United States (but you have to assemble it yourself) Yes, I can ship it to me to assemble, test and register all the VIN, Battery Box, Battery VIN, etc. And we will deliver it for free in 50 miles of 08809. It will arrive fully assembled in this instance. No, it only comes with one motor option (for each unique model) which is more than capable of handling my umm…fluffiness(?) Yes, all of the warranty is both covered AND if you are in that 50 mile radius we are your local service center. Yes, we can add aftermarket stuff to your order that is not affiliated with Urtopia, such as SUV/Truck racks specifically for e-bikes, (you don’t need a ebike gauge one for these e-bikes, as the main point of there whole brand concept is making ultra lightweight Ebikes) Yes, I can get you a bike lock , aftermarket lighting arrays, or really anything that you can think off. We are a partnered with www.QBP.com. The largest Ebike/Bike components company in America. Every brand they carry, and everything THAT that brand carries we can purchase and ship to you as well. Hundreds of different. companies use QBP as a distributor. They are gigantic. If it exists, they probably have it. Yes, if you are in that 50 mile radius we will just attach/install or bring any of this stuff with your free delivery. No, I am sorry we cannot (at present) offer fully assembled delivery outside of our radius unless you are willing to pay for a 3rd party delivery service to do so. Price obviously varies depending on distance and volume of extra components. Yes, we will charge the battery and test ride the bike and address any issues such as brake adjustment or tire pressure, etc prior to your free delivery (again, inside that 50 mile radius) Yes, you pay the same exact price as is charged on Urtopia. That’s covers the bulk of questions. Most importantly, thank you for taking the time to watch my review and for reaching out. Also, side tangent that seems odd but I keep getting asked. Yes, I was at Electrify Austin a few months ago. Yes, I saw the Stromer Ebike. Yes, it is awesome, yes it is sleek and well designed in a similar way that Urtopia has tackled it. But guess what, it’s like 10x the cost (literally). I know Stromer is an impressive enterprise and has a strong history in the bike industry. Listen, the reps were great. The brand identity was great. I’m sorry folks. I don’t care. I sort of feel like this is similar to, but not exactly like buying “brand name “ Whole Milk, or ShopRite private label brand for half the cost. I think at the end of the day. With some obvious caveats. I’m still buying milk here. A lot of what I (you) would be paying for is brand identity or the illusion of security. Now that’s fine if we are talking about a 10% spread. Not an orders of magnitude spread. I don’t buy it. I just can’t justify that gap. If you want to drop the cost of an entire car vs the cost of one single car payment on a bike. Go for it. It just doesn’t fit the value proposition that I believe I should present to my customers. So for the record. YES, Yes, yes. I rode the Stromer. I get the similarities. That’s my take on it, and that’s that. $12,000 dollars vs $2000 dollars. Nope. It’s a bike, not a down payment on a house. If that’s how you roll. More power to you. I like nice things too. I like BMW’s. I also like Lamborghini. Doesn’t mean I would ever buy one. I am of the mind that money is money regardless of how much of it you have. It should be respected. If this applies globally then it certainly applies to a bicycle.
