And finally the alco chugging hard once the caution cleared! The flat wheel bogie sound 😏. Beautiful sea shore, concrete safety bay, natural rocks to keep the topography safe. But I feel the ydm- 4/4a with mg bogies had better travelling sense, feel, beauty and comfort on those coastal lines. It had cast iron sleepers! Nostalgic mg days as well. Remarkable indian Railways. A lot of sensitive memories are caressing me!

I have seen this bridge. It is just amazing and I have also visited Rameshwaram. It is really a beautiful town with beautiful temples and beaches. I have also seen my favourite Dr. APJ Abdul Kalam Sir school in which he studied and also his house. It was just amazing.

This journey is mesmerising and once in a life experience. I was awestruck to find myself into the middle of a vast ocean , abroad a train , a large and heavy moving iron vehicle. Sounds scary! But all my hitchs vanished when the train kept moving on and we suddenly saw silhouette of an island on that vast sea coming closer. This was just amazing, beautiful and beyond words.

Lucky that you're riding a broad gauge train. Previously it was a meter gauge train so cramped scootting each other. Earlier when a ship comes the bridge opens into two and closes in the middle of the ocean. Later the operation was stopped in the Palk Strait.
