2 filipino lgbt love stories were actually inspired from this old movie :) the first one was Rome and Juliet movie (starting milene dizon) and the medyo recent one is TRMD tv series. You can tell because Rome and Juliet and TRMD both have the same plot with the bride falling for the wedding organizer/wedding florist, which is the plot of Imagine Me and You. :)

I just watched it with my mom because I wanted to come out to her... after the movie she told me it was dumb and that I clearly didnt know the ending and the outcome otherwhise why should I've bought the dvd.... I'm sad now :( I loved the movie... And my mom is so clueless...
