This is still my favorite movie. I remember seeing this movie at the theatre when it came out. I have the movie soundtrack album and 45 vinyl record including the extended version. Nothing like 80's music! The drop to floor spin was perform by a Latino guy named Richard “Crazy Legs” Colón (right), and the real dancing by Marine Jahan, French woman. :))

Biggest unknown trivia about this movie is that it wasn't the actress Jennifer Beals who danced in those scenes, but french pro dancer Marine Jahan. She wasn't even credited for it 😮 At least, she popularized her dancing style to a whole generation through that movie, even if people didn't know it was her.

Only because the dancing is such an important part of this movie and is most definitely a main reason why this movie rose to iconic status. If you think about the 80's in relation to dancing, you think about this movie.
