I think you're the only video that actually addressed the specific question I had. Well done. Thank you.

Thank you so much. I'm from Mexico. I was so confused with all these Clip Studio settings and options. Thank you for explaining the difference between a traditional and digital page.

Can't believe this doesn't come stock in CSP, thank you for saving me some tussling.
@TheKrensada2 жыл бұрын
It doesn't because Clip Studio used to be called Manga studio. It's not an american comic book program.

Congratulations! May I ask what are the sizes of DC Comics template? I have seen that my Clip Studio Version does't have this option. Abraços do Rio de Janeiro/Brasil.

Hi Andrew. I have subscribe. If I want a Double Spread Page, can I only use the "combine" option with a right click? Thanks for the informations.
@HermitComics2 жыл бұрын
For EX users: that is the way i do. But CSP now lets you combine all the pages when you create a book. They added a check box when you select the multiple pages option. that's another way.

@@HermitComics Perfect Andrew. I'll try on that way too. Abraços.

if you used the dimension like i did it should come out right. the canvas size really doesn't matter.

This is informative, thank you. I am currently planning on making a graphic novel using CSP but the dimensions I plan on using are 5.5 X 10.5. How would I go about setting the bleed size? ...TY!
@HermitComics3 жыл бұрын
If you are good at math and can understand this you can make a comic book of any size. kzbin.info/www/bejne/mKfPY5VphJpqjJo For graphic novels that are Perfect Bound (Square spine) you might want to check out this video. kzbin.info/www/bejne/j3LRc6KaqKh9Y5I

So if I’m planning on uploading my comic on webtoon, but might eventually want to print a physical copy what would I do
@HermitComics2 жыл бұрын
The most important thing is to use a resolution of 300 dpi or larger. That way your drawing will be ready for print if you want to print it later. But when you save your drawing as a jpeg or tiff file reduce the dpi to 72 dpi. This will make you file size smaller so you can upload it on to the web.
@EBWASupahMilian2 жыл бұрын
@@HermitComics thanks for the reply
@wmichaelbooth2 жыл бұрын
@@EBWASupahMilian If you think you might want to print it later, you should use the original information with the margins and trim lines and everything. It's easier to start with that template up front than it is to go back and add it to every page later. Using the right resolution is important of course, but if you don't have those margins right, when you send it to the printer and your word balloons are too close to edge of the page and they get trimmed or the inside edge of each page is lost inside the spine, it's going to be a bad day.

say if you want to print a comic book page or something. would it be an issue to work on it 7 x 11 and enlarge it to 11 by 17 digitally? this video has answered my main question so far, I just got this weird one.
@HermitComics2 жыл бұрын
Yes, working small and enlarging it will most likely have resolution problems. Always got from large to small not the other way.
@liladoesfanfics48172 жыл бұрын
So it is recommended to use the 'reduced BlamBot' instead of 11 x 17, correct?
@HermitComics2 жыл бұрын
I wouldn’t say recommend, I just don’t see the point in making a 11x17 in digital when you have the power of zooming in. 11x17 digital will make a large file size.

I am writing a graphic novel (6x9) format in grayscale. Is 300 dpi OK for this application?
@HermitComics4 жыл бұрын
Yes 300 dpi is the minimum for printing quality. But i would use 600 dpi.

Can I also make a comic book in full bleed
@HermitComics2 жыл бұрын
Full bleed is to the outer most edge (outer blue line)
@pooruanimations2 жыл бұрын
@@HermitComics So inside the safe area then?
@HermitComics2 жыл бұрын
@@pooruanimations No. the edge of the white paper is the canvas. As you go to the center of the page, the first blue line to come to is the full bleed. The next blue line is the trim line, this is where a printer will cut. The next blue line as you go into the center is the safe zone. See this video, kzbin.info/www/bejne/qGLQZYBjasuSpdU ,to help explain more and also how to export your drawing to the correct size.

I'd have some questions... 1- Is Default border used to replace Safety Margin? 2- Can I set default border to 0.75. To 0.38 seems a bit so close to trim lines. I'd like to have more space outside the draw area (but ever inside of the trim lines) to give more impact or could it be a problem?
