The man in the film who was forced to drink the tonic is James Turfler. Not sure when he was born, but IMDB states that he died in 1933, ten years after making "The Pill Pounder."

Ever since I purchased a Kodak digital film scanner, it set me off in a direction I would’ve never taken a few years ago. Like this gentleman, I have gone online and purchase various 8 mm and super 8 mm film on eBay and converting them. What’s Santo? Is that a lot of these families don’t see any value in these films anymore?

Bromo Seltzer had many copycats in the early 20th century who sold their products under slightly altered versions of the name. Coca-Cola had a similar issue which involved many lawsuits.
