@@Peaches-i2i actually I wasn't thinking of SOMA but thanks for bringing it up, I was thinking in terms of metaphysics, whether it's the soul according to agnostic theologians or whatever the atheistic equivalent is, our consciousness in our bodies, our self awareness, is unique and can only ever exist once. It can't be removed and transplanted, I'll go as far as to say that in Chappie's case, he too is now a copy of the original, sure with AI it's easy to duplicate and transfer everything down to the last detail, but there's still a point where the essence of someone is deconstructed in a manner in which it no longer exists as it was, and thus an ending to that person's life.

Ribs cracked/separated, abdominal muscles torn/brusing, hemoraging diaphragm, internal organs brused/ruptured. Verdict: He is at moderate risk of dying if his injuries are not treated, but has a good chance for survival. However he is not going to be able to threaten any of his coworkers with his dinky weenie pistol anymore, let alone walk or talk correctly.
