Ya know, when it was blind I will never understand why Chappie just ignored the old detonator until it was right in his face. You'd think that at that very important point you would aim to grab that asap. Would've saved so much hassle.
@ChangedCauseYT-HateFoxNames2 ай бұрын
His priority was preventing damage to those he loved and remember at that moment, it wasn't just the moose that was a threat, the rival gang was as well so Chappie prioritized protecting his family such as taking hits for his mama and punching through the wall to get her to safety. When he all but lost his family, he suddenly ran out of things to protect which means priorities shifted.

Ofc for military campaign, Hugh character wanted to use this on petty criminals and gangsters, too overkill that's why his moose lose to cheapies on police enforcement
@ChangedCauseYT-HateFoxNames2 ай бұрын
@@MrPhil023 I wouldn't say cheapies, more of practicality. A moose can't get indoors, especially normal housing like the Chappie bodied machines which I'm going to call mechanicals because I don't remember their actual names. The mechanicals use mostly human designed weapons so you don't need to buy many new armaments, they use more easily maintained gear which is vital because when things like them need to be ready 24/7, a week of maintenance is a huge turn off and all those sensors and high maintenance weapons like the minigun on the moose are going to be hell keeping fed and supplied but let's ignore all the prior. Let's humor the moose. What do you get over the mechanicals? A weapon made for war against what? Worst case scenario armored gangbangers driving standard civilian cars. It simply is a performance increase in an area unneeded at the cost of compromising logistics. "A fool thinks of tactics, a genius thinks logistics"

The one thing that I’ve always thought was really stupid about this movie is the fact that seemingly the first people that these robotics people are sending their robots to be used for is in police work. Don’t get me wrong having robotic police officers alongside human ones would probably be an absolutely brilliant thing to have especially in more high crime areas. But at the same time, the other robot the moose I believe it’s called. I don’t exactly see how that would work into a police mentality. Hugh Jackman’s character constantly trying to get that robot into police use I feel is the reason why he kept failing at. Honestly that robot probably should’ve been better suited for military applications. Not be that, but since when does the police robot require cluster munitions? But overall, I think robots like this their first application would be in military application applications. Probably not for direct combat, but maybe for more menial things. One thing that I remember from my time in the military was that there was a philosophy for the development of things like drones and such. And they were called the “Three Ds” which stood for “dull, dirty, dangerous“ Essentially using robots like either the smaller ones or the larger one in areas where it might not be fully conducive to use a living human being they could probably do it. This is one of the good things about unmanned air vehicles. UAV doesn’t have a mother. So they are not expendable due to their sheer monetary cost. They are able to mitigate risk. So robots like this would be perfect for these kinds of things. Again, they’re not expendable, but they would be able to mitigate risk. Another thing could be that they would be ideal for things like perimeter defense. After all aside from a recharge on their power supply. Along with maybe some regular maintenance they largely don’t need a whole lot. You wouldn’t need to have to worry about food, lodging, or other kind of logistics. I don’t think robots would ever truly supplant human soldiers, but I can definitely see them as beingadditions to various military forces.
@teeanahera89496 ай бұрын
Budddyyyy, it is a movie. Why are you using logic to dissect it? If you can accept that robots are going to be sentient then why quibble as to whether cluster ordnance can be used by a police rather than a military robot. 🙄

literally in a scene the moose i think they call it has Army written on it, i dont know how the writer would think that a mech like that would have any place ina police orginization. Not only does it have m134 mini gun, but a quad missile launcer, which has guided munitions, but also a automatic grenade launcher and maybe another coaxial, and for some reason a arm. And for some reason it can fly, the application to the police force would be very minimal becasue this thing is huge, how could it fit into tigh spaces or any building without causing significant damage. Seems like something the military would want to support as a quick reactionary force to almost any threat. Its fast, heavily armed, unmanned. Also this would be so expensive a precicnt would be incapable of operatiing it without being so overbudget for such a weapon that meets such a small niche of almost combating hige armed forces but instead of the military, the movie wants the police to procure it
