@TruMusic89 Allen Iverson took a team to the finals that was composed of just him and a bunch of scrubs that you've probably never heard of. That by itself is more impressive than anything the Warriors have accomplished.
@wondercat61695 жыл бұрын
None of Iverson's teammates were scrubs. Snow Lynch Deke and Hill were all very capable defenders. Mckee was a punch of energy off the bench and Geiger was a massive body. Bell although very young was active and eventually became a stellar defender in his own right. That team didn't score a lot but the defensive talent was wonderful and their team defense was better than even the sum of those parts. The true mastermind behind that team was not Iverson It was Larry Brown who later had similar success with the Pistons beating an even STRONGER Lakers team with a similar system in 04. He even managed to somehow someway sneak the BOBCATS into the playoffs using some of these ideas later in his career. @@tbr2109

Hey coach, I always notice Klay Thompson and Kevin Durant seem to enjoy taking contested jumpshots, often (nearly usually) taking an extra dribble or catching and shooting right in the defenders face. This looks amazing and a testament to their abilities when they go in. But throughout the season, these go in at a very average rate and are really becoming an inefficient shot selection. This team won’t win with isoball. The warriors play best when Steph is allowed to play freely. When you have guys setting weak side screens to open up shooters and also getting stops that lead to quick points. If they rely on isoball KD will play well, average high numbers with good efficiency. But I believe it will be at the demise of the warriors because at the end every other guy will struggle.

I'd love a breakdown where you sit down and talk to Montrelz about being a power player and how he developed his ability to concentrate in the air to finish a play through contact knowing he won't always get the call. His dexterity and concentration has improved so much the last couple of years. It's like he can see past the 7 footers in his way. Some of his crazy tip-in's working past bigger players is as amazing as his dunks. There was a couple of dunks at the end of the 3rd and the middle of the 4th which were tremendous (and uncanny) plays that you needed to have in this breakdown-- they were key moments in the momentum of the game. Why'd you leave them out? Also it would be great to know how he and Lou developed the telepathic chemistry on the PNRs. How often do they work on it. How do they practice all those crazy angles that Lou can get the ball through? I liked how you included a good critique of the questionable calls in your vids. Shai and Landry's play especially on D during important stretches has been great to watch too. Seeing how Doc can convey to the rest of the team how to keep them going offensively is really great. Kerr is the only other coach in the NBA that I can think of that can do that with young players.

What suprises me more in some of the games in this series is Doc Rivers' unpredictable game plans! Though the Warriors will win the next game, the Clippers certainly made it entertaining!

I think the reason Lou is isolating on KD is because since Lou is so small, KD has trouble getting low enough to steal the ball or stop him getting from the basket. KD even said it himself that he had trouble defending guys who "get low" on CJ McCollum's podcast.

That Klay charge looked bogus to me. He starts the jump before Bev gets set. Like, how are you supposed to avoid the contact when the defender steps in and stands in the way of a leaping attacker?
I really learned a lot from your videos sir. Great job. Nobias

I remember thinking the Rockets won the Chris Paul trade because Paul is as good as Beverly on defense and Lou Williams on offense, rolled into only one roster slot. But Montrezl Harrell's improvement has made this trade a win for the Clippers, especially because Lou and Montrezl are now their best two players.

They say the clippers needs "stars" when they are becoming stars and have great chemistry. Why disrupt that with high volume shooters, hero ball not smart ball, stat padders many call "stars"?
