No doubt, this (the song) is one of the most amazing creation of Arabian Night's, however, try the original song in the animated show - it is 10x better than this, this is still amazing but the original, damn, that's just so better and I don't even know why - the singers voice, his Arabic accent.. maybe that.

Will Smith memes aside, he did such a fantastic job filling the shoes after Robin Williams. He portrayed Genie in his own way without tarnishing what Robin Williams did with the character. You'd be a fool to think Will didn't understand how critical people would be of his role as Genie.

I remember seeing this scene in Theaters, when he sang the "Arabian Nights", the speaker was blasting at full volume surround sound and it was Eargasm. The movie overall blew my expectations away, it was fantastic, the singing was amazing, it gave me chills, man id pay alot of money to experience that again.

When you realize the genie must say no and then oblige their requests quite often for them to have no reaction because he spent centuries having no choice to say no. Even though he wants to give his kids the world, he still revels in the freedom he was granted.

@@vimto2838 they got the abbasi buildings , belly dancers, caracters’ names , music , clothes , terms like sultan jin , , camels , dessert , the era , the jewelry the story that this came from named arabian nights the palaces are not in indian style like some people say it looks like taj mhal but if you check palaces in iraq in the abassi era where alladin supposed to live you will find them acc made like în the movie and they were before taj mhal was builled ?? obv there is some south asian representation but not most of it most of it is acc arab ( mid eastern / north african )

The problem is that this movie has also Indian elements. The tiger is called Rajah which is Indian and means King. The actress is indian and will smith and the makers said in an interview that they thought of India and Bollywood by making the dance and costumes. This is unfortunately no real Arab culture representation.

Three things I loved about this remake: 1. All the original songs are faithfully remade and the story is mostly intact 2. The "twist" at the end of the movie with Genie. (That's enough of a spoiler alert) 3. As an Arab I loved that 3 main characters are actually of Arab ethnic roots! :)

Friend like Me and Prince Ali were amazing performances with great cinematography and dancing, I don't think they could have done better. In Friend like Me they recreated part of the scene from Stormy Weather where the Nicholas Brothers do the splits down the stairs, I thought that was cool and most people probably didn't notice.

I watched the original countless times as a kid, and Jafar was always one of my favorite movie villains. When the live-action version came out, I was incredibly proud and excited that someone from my country was cast in the role. But in hindsight, I think they should have chosen a different actor. Kenzari just doesn’t capture the same intimidating presence, either in his voice or his appearance. The film was solid overall, though, and this intro gave me chills.

2:56, OMG, Jasmine is wearing a Dupatta. It is a long shawl-like scarf worn by women in the Indian subcontinent. My mother wears those. Not gonna lie, her outfit seems to be south Asian influenced.

I remmber watching the cartoon i was 10 and when the song started i was so happyand excited. Here i am in my 30's watching the song again and still am amazed and excited ❤️ and will smith is one of my favourite actors. I just know whatever movie he got role in, he s making it excellent.

I love how they kept Dahlias’s face hidden in this clip so that when she and Genie finally got together at the end we all went “Oh! That really IS Genie at the start telling the story, and he married Dahlia!”
