Life of a solider is horrible. One day your house gets captured and your lord gets killed for being a traitor then now you are forced to fight for a new king. Worst off, you are grouped with other captured house soldiers and sent to the frontline to fight your loyalist alliance while your enemies watch from afar and joined at the last moment.

@ Every castly had "open" in front of its walls. It was a common theme to cut the trees in front of the castle walls.

One reason why I don't like about HOTD is there are just too much of these voice-overs at the start of critical action moments, as if the emotional speeches of main characters are going to implement more weight and depth to a battle sequence. Unlike GOT, where the weight of the battle scenes are spoken by the acting and scores.

Criston Cole is even thicker than he looks. Anither dragon shows up and he decides to advance another infantry division into the area the dragons will duel.

i hope next season is better because i don't like the direction it took off, you are obviously rooting for rhaenyra, i thought the whole point was that it was tragic that both clans are awesome and it's a shame they destroy their house and see both perspectives, i was team green at first but then they made aegon a rapist and aemond tries to kill his own brother, team green is just lame at this point. (Haven't read the books, just some plot points on youtue to know what happens next)

Was Rhaenys death a good trade off? I know they lost the castle and a strong dragon including Rhaenys, but did enough soldiers die/including aegons dragon almost killing him? Was this trade-off worth it for Rhaeyra

Short answer, not even close. While the Black's have an obvious advantage in terms of the number of dragons they had, very few rivaled the size of Vhaegar. Meleys was essential to Rhaenyra keeping it competitive.

My annoyance is that she could have left or decimated that army after aegon or finish him off or both instead of chasing aemond. Vhagar is slow af.

I think Game Of Thrones showed us how much of an army a dragon can erase. (For example the golden company), I don't think this trade off was worth it

You can imagine fresh dragon blod like hot acid… Literally everything about dragons is lethal.. magnificent but terrifing beasts. I personally love it how the tv show makers captured this absolute dread those dragons imply on a normal soldier in the world of ice and fire.
