She apparently did not want a singing career but Debbie would have loved that for her. Too bad because her voice was a gift. Eddie Fisher had a fab voice.

A sense of humor is often considered tragic in the greats. I get that. It’s also a life safer. If you possess one own it. Be humble. Share it gently. And understand you must analyze your pain and use your humor to dissapate it a bit

She must have been really young because she's wearing really big shoulder pads. Some of those 1980s fads are really cringey. But anyways Carrie was always so amazing :D

Hard to believe that a British show, back then, was so tacky as to make Carrie Fisher drink from a can. Also, British coke always tasted different anyway.
@_misnoma_6 ай бұрын
I'd love to know how this was made. Obviously scripted. Who wrote the script? How much is improvised? The "shallow" joke is a great joke and they played it with unaffected unknowingness. Same with "coke expert". Playing several meta levels above.
@ytchannel6135 ай бұрын
Well, Carrie Fisher's quips and answers here are all hers alone. She was always like this in most of her interviews because she was a writer and a Hollywood script doctor, in case you didnt know. That bit about "hip to left" and "slightly discarded air," I remember reading that in her magazine essay somewhere.

@Ruylopez7784 жыл бұрын
I think the point she was actually making was the friend was saying the guy the was otherwise perfect, so it was shallow to disregard him for something physical (if he was otherwise ideal), which is understandable, given that I think she often struggled with accepting her own appearance, and the media's opinion of how she looked.
@hasekdom8 жыл бұрын
She was pretty til she was in her early 40s. Then it bombed Something similar could very well happen to Chelsea Handler. Pretty hot 42 year old. The drugs, booze and everthing else is taking its toll. 10 years from now and the ones who live will see.
@thetarrahbear8 жыл бұрын
She can't help it. The bipolar drugs cause tremendous alteration in appearance. It is something you accept if you want your manic depression to remain under control. Carrie's illness was very severe. I love the way she has responded to public criticism and comments about her appearance. She is brilliant. A tremendous loss, tremendous.
@bkavanaugh8638 жыл бұрын
Never knew appearance was affected although I think lithium can distort and bloat.
@irisfryer65318 жыл бұрын
I think she had plastic surgery done for some reason. She was fine the way she was, I will never understand why she altered her face in the last 3 years of her life. It didn't look good.
@mastodontfilmsmads7 жыл бұрын
Lithium makes you fat. That's well known... I took lithium for seven years and yeah I gained weight, and I was also hungry all the time and food didn't really help much, and I was dead tired. I never really woke up in the morning (maybe with the help of a gallon of coffee) and after lunch I needed a nap. I fell asleep on lectures at the university, on my way home on the subway... Yeah how are you supposed to live if you're just hungry and tired all the time? But some people need it to be able to function, just as ECT, you always have to pay a price to get better... I hope I won't need it anymore.

To expectations that she look like a 19 y/o, she said it hurt all seven of her feelings. PS She also (later than this video) underwent regimens of ect which effect the jaw.
