Yeah, this is one of few ways (outside of floor breaak/blast) which allows multiple odins hits in one combo. Since you'll get another odin hit attempt at the wall.

For the ch ff2 combo on females, i found that if you do a half/full sidestep right after the launch (don't micro step, you have to cover some distance), you can do the max damage staple (d1, ws4, db1+2,1) everytime. I tested this on Ling and it's just as consistent as when you use this combo on the males. No sacrificing damage!

For wall travel you can also use df143 and just whiff the first hit in purpose. Puts you in wings stance for an easy ender

@TheMainManSWE 10:49 micro dash into df1,4 is inconsistent because of the micro dash instead just wait to press until just before the white circle appears as the female character lands and boom the combo becomes less inconsistent. Im not saying it works every time, but the dash takes up too much time, so you miss your window. PS thanks for your hard work making these videos they always help me learn new characters faster, of course after i lab a few hours myself. Keep up the good work we all appreciate it.

10:47 I find labing Clive that is much easier to pick up df14 from f3 if you buffer a sidestep, then immediately Imput df14. I think is more reliable than a microdash, but obviously ws4 is easier

If you just skip the stuff in between and go straight to db1+2 after the launcher it works on guys and girls and does ab the same damage no real trade off and works super consistent 🤷‍♀️

332 is busted among many others. Ws2, db1+2, 1, 22, 332 will give you 84 dmg. This is literally easier than all of Alisa’s combo. Better yet, if you manage to lv5 the zan, just use that instead of 332 for the same combo for a whopping 95 dmg. But it’s not as common. However ws2 is ultra common. Just block one hell sweep or snake and you got em half off. These are no heat combos btw.

Clive won't be seen in tournaments. His frames and pokes aren't impressive. Has also poor lows. People already realised just jab him out during his phenix shift

@ rn is just all knowledge checks. People are figuring out the strings. Pheonix isn’t busted but 1 will power crush that jab. What’s busted is the stupid range of wr2 and pheonix can actually put them into a forever 50/50 at distance. Phoenix 4 and 2 aren’t punishable.

@@idontgetscared it's true that f1+2 needs a homing nerf, but honestly aside from a few things he really ain't that strong. I still fear a good drag player who won't even let me jab. Lot of clive sword swipes have poor frames and are punishable. He's definitely not weak and his mix up gameplay is prob the best way to play him as i can get on average 75-85 damage. But yeah if I had to verse a Clive or a drag or nina. I'd rather take Clive. Because I know I can just keep 112 and jab my way through and poke him down when he's trying to do his slow launchers. Yoshi is even far more scarier due to his unpredictable gameplay. So far every Clive I see almost plays the same way but I just pop my power crush during his shift and keep winning. If they block my power crush then it means they've stopped their shift i.e no mix up play. He just has to do his 11 small jab and finish.

@ it’s too soon to tell but I think Clive plays different game than Tekken. It sounds like most Clive players you’ve met are playing Tekken. I think up close, Clive sucks. Mid tier at best. But at distance he becomes untouchable, undodgeable, unpunishable. It depends on the player but he has plenty of mixup options that can be really annoying. I’m actually using him now. For me out of those three, I’d take anyone but Clive. one parry will create distance to start wr2 spam mixup.

A good staple that works on both male and female characters is launcher, 1, b2, then proceed with the db1+2, 1 etc. It works for almost all launchers including counter hit ones like db4

the route i have been using for wall carry and damage that works on everyone is launcher (df2 ect) db1+2,1, 3, dash 4,4 f 2,1 ~ df1,2 (or b1) f 2,1, or 1, or 2,2

With floor blast you can get almost 2 full bars off a counter hit ff2. An easy one would be FF2CH> 1 > 2,2,1+2 > 2,2,2 > out of phoenix shift 2,2. Gets 3 odin sword attacks in one combo lol, you can prob squeeze more damage in with a different combo but that one is easy to pull off and the ff2 will prime the floor for 2,2,1+2 to start the floor blast.

I just wait till they try and launch and punish them with my jabs and 112 combos. For his stance you'll be surprised if you just low jab him out of it. People sit there not doing anything I'm thinking maybe throw a power crush to stop me? But nope they freeze up waiting. Its cause he's new. But so far every single dlc character hasn't been higher than mid tier. Understand in the whole year no one has dethroned Drag, Nina, Jin, Yoshi and Alissa. They're far more reliable and have better frames overall. Clive wll prob be placed in mid tier as I'm already seeing good counter play and it's not even been a week
