Something that I love about Joe's coaching is that he really understands the psychology of the game. I like what he said about adapting to different environments. Miami was trying to get physical and all tough with us, but our leaders just handled their crap with class and poise under pressure. Its games like this that really prepare us for the playoffs. When you can face that kind of play and beat it. We don't win this game in years past. Joe's right. We are getting stronger mentally and it will pay off.

In general I agree with you but lately it feels like they’ve been lacking that fire to stomp teams, and lacking physicality compared to usual. They definitely need a vacation… I’m looking forward to see how they approach games after this allstar break. It’s been a tough January so hopefully it’s nothing too concerning (knock on wood). I need JT to remember more often that he’s a 6’8” jacked force of nature and he can just run right through guys to the basket like a freight train basically whenever he wants… or bully his way in the post. We have too many ridiculous athletes to not be going to that much more often than we do. If guys like siakam and Julius Randle can play that way so can Tatum (but even better), and the 3 ball is a beautiful bonus but doesn’t have to detract from strong athletic drives. I have no complaints about 3s as long as I see him remembering how big and strong he actually is now, and using that to dominate at the rim. We have guys who are a lot less athletic than JT but are great at throwing up volume catch and shoot 3s. I think it’s a better use of their skills as a group to have the lesser athletes and shorter guys shooting more while the best athletes can bring that strong rim pressure…. but of course they should all still do both-I’m just saying the volume could be distributed a little more strategically. When jayson is hot he’s our best shooter by far, but in general I stand on what I said (for most games)

Yo young coach, next time a player like KP being injured and asking to come out, you cannot allow the other team to play 5 vs 4 and let them score back to back easy wide open threes to kill the momentum and lead you had. They scored 8 points before the whistle. You need to call time out and substitute right away. That was clearly a rookie coaching mistake.

His late game is 3s 3s and more 3s and who has the best one on one switch .. not much coaching .. I got a question for all the Joe lovers what are his best 4 plays ??? No butler no rozier at the end then one of the twins got hurt at the end too and we win by single digits 😂playoffs can’t wait to see this
@multiplemike50218 ай бұрын
I am not sure what you are referring to. This game he called a timeout with 4 seconds left and we were up 4, Then it was DW advancing the ball to Jrue who advanced it to PP to run out the clock and win. Before that JB got a critical rebound with about 15 seconds left to force Miami to call a timeout. After the timeout, JT got two foul shots and hit both to put us up 6 and basically ice the game. Joe preaches the three, but lets not act like that is all he teaches. He has been getting better with timeouts. The one he called in this game at the very end was a smart one too because it allowed us to reset and just get the ball in safely for the victory.
