I'm still confused the difference between a fixed notch and a ratio. She just mentions 'and everything' a few times and doesn't compare the two options leaving me to fill in the blanks, but I'm failing :(

Fixed means if you edit the pattern piece the notch will stay in the same place (either locked from the start or end Segment point on either side of the Segment line the notch is on). Ratio means it will stay at % of where it was placed on the Segment line. Is the segment line is 10" and the notch is placed at the 4" mark. You then edit the segment to be 20" the notch will now be at 8". (think of it like a percentage is remains at 40% or the total) Also remember somtimes experimenting and trying both options to see the difference helps. as well as the CLO guides on our website have lots of information support.clo3d.com/hc/en-us/articles/115013369268-Edit-Notch-Properties

Hello, I have some ideas wich can really upgrade the user experience during pattern making. An option to link notch to segment. And an option to link 2 segments for exemple if I change my waist width on the bust then my waist band adjust automatically from that change. In LECTRA it's called EXPERT construction an it allow a dynamic construction and honestly it's a time saver ! For POM if I select several segment and trace as POM it create as many Pom as segment selected, is it possible to manage that if we select more than one segment it create 1 pom from all the selected segment please ? Thank you so much for your amazing work ! It's really great to see the evolution of the software !

Hi There. Great news. everything you have asked for is already in CLO as of 7.2 For the Notch being able to have it adjust with an Edit or be locked into place is already an option in CLO. If you select the notch and go to the property Editor you will see the Lock option. Tuning this own will lock the notch either by the Start or End point. Otherwise is it set to Ratio by default and will adjust incrementally as you edit a pattern. This is also a new option when importing a DXF pattern. You can select Fixed or Ratio Currently if you now use the Edit Pattern tool and select multiple Segments that are Connected > R-Click and choose Trace as POM all of those segments will combine into one POM

I'm curious the difference between Modular Library and New Modular Library? I did a bit of research and watched some videos and it just looks like a more robust Modular Library so why wasn't it just added as "improvements" to the Modular Library feature, rather than creating a whole new tab/window with the word "new" in front of it? Someone set me straight :)

Hi Heather. This is because the new and the old are not 100% compatible. Which is why they both currently exist on CLO until people have had time to migrate to the Newer and Improve version of the Modular Library

Wonderful as always. Your genuine enjoyement is so refreshing :) I'm still a little dissapointed that male avatar are still "Ken dolls" in the lower region and as an underwear and male lingerie designer, its a hassle to create volume where men have it. I still do not undestand why female breast are considered ok and male genitalia "an atrociously perverted" item that can never appear... It is essential for us to have a "bulging" option (doesn't have to be super detailed of course) but editable enough so we can adapt its volume and "fall" to fit any kind of male bodies. Making a tanga or a brief is not easy on Clo Avatars. Please please this is 2023 and physical attributes should be reflecting the people. Also it would be great to "hide" some body part while tracing with 3d Pen. Especially bum and crotch area when tracing or even underarm (temporarily hiding a leg, or arm would be great). Also vertical guidelines (seems obvious) but would be very very useful) center body, center arm, legs, head, etc.) Overalll Clo is such a wonderfull tool, I always download a test trial to practice, but I will purchase when I know it has alll the assets I need for my trade. Thank you so much and keep up the excitement

Hi There. The adjustments to a male avatar is a feature request and something we hope to add to a future CLO release. For Hiding parts of an Avatar you can already do this in CLO. Just R-Click on the legs/ arms in 3D and select Deactivate/Hide from the drop down menu. Same for Avatar measurements. If you go to your 3D vertical Toggle > Avatar > the second to last button on the right is "show measurements" This will have basic measurements for CLO avatars. But you can also always add additional measurements using the Avatar Measuring Tape Tools on the 3D tool bar.

@@CLO3D Great to hear!! Thank you for the hiding limbs tip!! Never knew you could do that! But I've tried it and the issue is that its symetricak (maybe there is a way to select half of the avatar that I don't know about. If you want to work on a precise crotch pattern shape, the whole hips/thighs are gone. I would be great to have half visible (and filled up; full transparencu on the avatar body is very distracting ;)) (Just like you can do on Zbrush). To make iseasier, may be the whole lingerie Avatar body parts (like we use as model stand) with a realistical soft body parts that react to tightness of the bras or the briefs, pushing the body (breasts/genitalia) up or let loose as a real body does) I know thats a big technical steps, Clo is pushing the limits yearly already so great job on this version. Thank you so muych for your time and efforts

@@CLO3D Great help already. Thank you - smmal question : Is there a way to have stitches behave like real one regarding top and bottom colours? Like the ISO_401_Chainstitch by example: the top is indeed different from the bottom (underneath looks as chainstitch while the top is a regular topstitch. BUT, is there a way to have the top side colour white, and the bottom chainstitch side blue? (As we do in real life when your top thread may be a different colour than the bobbin. The same feature Clo has for fabrics (front and back can be different material and colours) Thx
