Very helpful tutorial, is there any way to import the alembic file in blender with texture from clo3d (avatar texture mainly}
@digitalfashionblender Жыл бұрын
Use the PC2 or point cache option when you export instead of alembic. You export a zip file with OBJ and an animation cache. This is very easy to set up in blender using the mesh sequence modifer :)

This is a very useful and detailed tutorial! Thank you a lot for such a video! I wanted to ask for advice on the topic. I tried to do this (step by step like yours) on my model, but when I load the alembic (export from CLO) into the blender, the avatar mesh intersects with the clothing mesh. Like slightly different phases of animation. When I export an alembic with an avtar, it plays normally in blender. The problem is only in the combination of FBX avatar and clothes in alembic. Maybe you know how to fix this?
@digitalfashionblender Жыл бұрын
It sounds like your frames are offset by maybe 1 frame at some point during the import / export process. Try shifting the frame offset value of the alembic cache in the modifier stack by -1 frames or +1 frames and see if this fixes the intersection.

My animation wasn't in the same pose as the clothes but i fixed it by moving my character animation but when i bring it into blender they character moves with the. Lothes but are not in sync
@digitalfashionblender10 ай бұрын
you need to check your frame rate is the same in both belnder and clo3d, be sure you are stating tha animation sequence on frame 0 and not frame 1

clo3d crashes as soon as i import the alembic file. please help
@digitalfashionblender7 ай бұрын
Test with a simple alembic. Animate the blender cube and import. If it works then you know the issue is your file. If it does not work then it is likely an issue with Clo. Check for updates
