Haha yeah man!! They're sense of rhythm and melody/harmony is insane, also Fredrik is massively influenced by Holdsworth so it makes it even better

@@wesleylakemusic Yeah man, I was about to unscrew my head from the neck trying to headbang to a few songs 😂 I don't think most heavy metal fans realize how much of a revolution meshuggah started and have been doing Phantoms from their last album is basically the daddy of all metal songs ever made

@@ayandey137 Yeah that's so true, Meshuggah are like the pivotal band for metal imo, I also find that having a lot of jazz/fusion influence really helps getting that sound, it's also mainly why I'm doing a load of stuff like this because I can apply it to a new style

@@wesleylakemusic You put it perfectly! There really were the pivot All heavy metal sub genre bands are influenced by them in some way. And the best thing is musicians inspired by meshuggah, dont just like to copy and play like meshuggah They develop their own sound, albeit influenced by meshuggah, look at Tosin, your fellow countryman John Browne, the list would be very long The band members of Meshuggah are all Gods imo, but Frederik ascended first ,lol

@@ayandey137 Yeah that's true, mainly Animals and Tosin are what I'm following at the minute. They have an interesting way of incorporating non functionality and complicated harmony into music, which shows by his influences as well as the band he was in, T.R.A.M. I do own an Abasi guitar lol but it isn't mine, but I do love it immensely, it's such a great guitar
