Nice job. The video was very informative and it helped a lot. Unlike some, I listened to what you said about reconnecting the battery to see if it would help you lock your steering wheel in place. I guess some don't listen very well. I'm a bit in awe of your holding the camera, using your screw driver and holding the airbag. You sure you only have two hands? Lol. Nice video.

Great video! I have a 2008 Nissan Pathfinder SE V8 same issues. No horn except when using the alarm it’s not the fuse. Radio and Volume controls work sometimes on and off. Nissan said it’s the Spiral Cable aka clock spring. Some I’m ordering mine from Nissan want OEM. Feel confident to do myself. Anybody who does this must be sure to Disconnect both battery terminals and do not use a battery saver either. Thanks for this great video! 👍🏽

Should probably disconnect the negative terminal on the battery when you work with the airbag.

Good video. Buuut.....ALWAYS SAFETY FIRST!!!!! Not unless you just want one shot (no pun intended). You might have been blessed this time but the thousands viewing your video....well, you know. I don't think you want to have that on your conscience. PLEASE! PLEASE! PLEASE! NEVER EVER EVER attempt to detach any airbag unit without first disconnecting both battery terminals. Thanx :)

Thanks for the comments, always safety first their are 3 part video to this endeavor the first clearly shows the battery cables disconnected, for those watching please watch all three videos before attempting this and wait the 10 minutes after the battery is disconnect before you start.

Never disconnect an airbag with the battery connected! Not only you are risking having the airbag deploy but you also will cause a fault code in the SRS system which can only be reset with the proper code scanner tool for airbags. The normal Check Engine light scan tool will not do it.

I've checked everything from fuses to relay to hor.. will this clock spring be the cause of my horn not working.. once I turn my steering wheel all the way to the right it works but once back in center it stops working

The clock springs makes all your steering wheel controls work- horn, cruise, radio, etc
