I live in a senior park in Central Florida with six lift stations. We just received yet another notification from the park manager to NOT FLUSH WIPES in your toilet because it has messed up the lift stations ... two this time! YUCK what a nasty job that is.

Sir, you are correct. Flushable wipes wreck uncontrolled havoc on older, and some newer, plumbing systems. STEP UP OR STEP OUT.

We are about to buy a 1978 house with a grinder pump. Now I am worried. You mentioned "got all the grease out" does the kitchen sink water go through the grinder pump too? If so, what can we do to avoid grease build up?

If the grinder pump is clogged and still plugged in will the grinder pump continue to run how long can you leave it plugged in before the grinder pump fails is there a fail safe for being clogged

There are different types of grinder pump set ups. Some grinder pump control panels have overloads that will trip when amps get too high in order to save the pump from burning up.

I have been fighting with my grinder pumps for years. Unless you can stop people who visit you from putting god all down the john, you're going to face this problem over and over. My next idea is to hang a short wire trash basket under the outflow pipe. Yes, it's going to be a nasty maintenance job for moi, but "it's better than Rikers", as the song goes.

They make em cheaper and cheaper these days. Just had a full install of a new pump couple weeks ago, and now look at what video I’m on. We don’t use flushable wipes either. Just regular TP clogged it. We’re about to start just wiping and putting our TP in a trash can instead.

They went with the cheapest person they could find to connect to sewer with grinder pump. then now our grinder pump alarm going off. Going to pop it open and see whats going on..we dont use anything but TP. THinking about doing the same. THey do that in Mexico.All goes into trash.

Should really be a sewage ejection pump, not a grinder pump. Unless you have a lot of head pressure on your outlet or you are pumping into a pressurized line. Look at “5 reasons why you don’t need a grinder pump.” They just need to not flush a bunch of random bullshit lol 😂
