I'm ngl I quite like the clean look over the weathered look. I'm thinking of doing this with my dad for the summer, any ideas of what I guess "upholstery" I should use to actually put the armor on my body? Like Velcro and stuff

Hello! I really appreciate all of the tutorials you have done on this project, I do have one question though. Did you use the same brand pain on the blue gauntlet? I looked on Amazon for the FX brand and they didn't seem to have that color of blue. Could I have I link or a brand name of the paint you used for this gauntlet? Thanks!

I wouldn't say using the grey foam was the "wrong" choice, to me the gauntlet looked like it had been through some battle and the cracking adds to the weathered effect but that's just my opinion
@ryzer_red3 жыл бұрын
I agree. It has a unique effect that could be useful depending on if you want a cracked plate look. I just didn't intend for it to be weathered that way, but its all good I think.

Should I blast my armor with a heat gun after I apply 1 coat of mod podge

These pieces are amazing I do have one question, I've made the chest and back using your templates as they are because we are the same height and build, When you wear your chest piece is it loose on you? mine feels like its massive on me
@ryzer_red3 жыл бұрын
Thanks! And yes the chest is big on me also. It kinda has to be big in order to fit over the ab plate, but I think I made it too big. I'm in the process of making a 2.0 template fixing some of the issues that the first one had and the wide chest is one of the things I'm changing.

How many ounces of plaidfx white paint does it take to paint the full set of clone armor?
@ryzer_red3 жыл бұрын
I'd say at least 8 bottles of white. Probably more if you wanted to add color or extra coats. It works best with several coats tho.

Would I need to coat it with plasti dip or anything else before this
@fauxmarmorer95443 жыл бұрын
Less useful for clone armor, but, more "realistic" sorts of props, things that are intended to be metal or wood sort of things, a good paint job can completely turn a prop from mediocre to pretty darn good looking, and never underestimate the power of weathering and small details

This is dope definitely gunna use some of these techniques, also try not to talk too too much, i think this video could've been a few mins shorter with less micro explanation and more demonstration, this was still a valuable tool tho, good work
