Close Call: Big Croc just misses the boat!!

The boys wake up at The Jackson River on the Cape York west coast and launch the boat to go fishing. To make it interesting, they have a challenge for each other... They are quickly reminded who owns the river when a big crocodile launches into the water and only just misses the boat!!

I recommend getting a plastic floating style of lip grips because they have a bigger surface area so they won't destroy fish mouths as easily as the metal ones did to that queenie at 9:00. Holes in fish mouths can lead to starvation, infection, and more than likely death. They only cost 10-15 dollars at any tackle store, so it is definitely worth promoting fish health post-catch. Still loved the video as I always do, keep up the good work boys!

Regarding croc attack, I don't see any difference in standing at the water's edge on a 700mm bank or on the boat.

Croc probably feels a little more at home climbing up a bank than onto a boat. But otherwise yes. Very similar scenario.

Yeh we got it wrong on the school mackerel. Not a fish we see a lot of. Definitely no confusion between queenies and mackies. We thought the queens were mackerel as they flashed under the front of the boat and we tried to identify them looking down on them. I think it’s was more hopeful thinking that we were going to get some mackerel for dinner 😂
