That is a far better representation of what this platform is like with a little fettling. Glad you enjoyed, glad Jack's car got a spot in the limelight(its one of the nicer ones, as you said Misha). The Yellowspeed Racing coilover kit is sprung and damped almost entirely with road use in mind; like all other off the shelf coilover kits for these cars. Few to none of these kits have adjustable top mounts either, so there is quite a bit that can be done to the suspension in terms of geometry, damping, springrates etc. to have them come alive on track. Hopefully I'll get an opportunity one of these days to put my money where my mouth is and throw you the keys to a car with all that knowledge put to use.

tell me which car doesnt have bridge pillar sized a-pillars? And if it's not the pillar then the gigantic mirrors block the view...
@AIRDRAC2 ай бұрын
@@progammler Just gotta go old enough, and it's not an issues at all ;) Any car from the mid-80s or earlier have next to no rollover protection -> very slim A-pillars ;) If you want to not die in a rollover, AND have a good view, find an old Saab 900 or Volvo 240 - they have reinforced A-pillars, that are still fairly slim, and the Saab even has a curved windshield, further helping visibility ;)
@progammler2 ай бұрын
@AIRDRAC oh I was talking about new cars! I have a great view in a BMW e30 or in the VW 181 where I can even fold the windshield down... But BMW F3x or G2x for example are terrible. (not as bad as VW Golf though xD) I guess it's not only rollover protection but also the airbag. I'd rather avoid a crash by being able to observe my surroundings, but most people seem to think otherwise in their gigantic SUVs and similar monstrosities and keep collecting bikers on their hoods.
@AIRDRAC2 ай бұрын
@@progammler ah, I see, yeah it's hard to find modern cars with good visibility around the A-pillar! Not to mention C-pillars that can hide a bus! I don't think anyone have airbags in the A-pillar itself, they usually deploy either from the ceiling, B-pillar, or the side bolsters of the seats. But rollover protection, combined with the fact that modern cars are nearly twice as heavy as their 80's equivalents has led to chunky A- and C-pillars to compensate :)
