If you stand your ground and show you're going to fight the wolves will leave as they can't waste their time fighting and risk getting injured. Wolves aren't mindless attacking zombies. If they don't see their prey in a vulnerable state, they're not gonna pounce. Being in a tent, with a bunch of unknown pack of dogs nearby is a risky hunt for wolves.

I took my young son camping with a group...in Santa Cruz Mts. CA.. and after sunset..we were surrounded by a dozen or so..uh ...skunks! And theyre big and fat skunks out here...We were inside our tents. Strangest experience..❤ ....they did their business....sniffing for food...then left into the darkness with no further incident.

Dogs will alert if the wolves come close, he leaves the tent and shoots them. He always has a gun. Also Wolves are smart, they generally won’t take the risk of attacking prey who aren’t vulnerable. A full sled dog team along with some humans isn’t exactly an easy target so they won’t risk it
