Love elephants, they just seem so majestic and calm, at times, but they do have families and a social structure.

Amazing. Interesting contrast between the behavior of the male and female. I agree that's likely because of the car being closer than she wanted. I don't know elephant behavior, but wasn't the female flapping her ears as the car neared an indicator she wanted more distance, even before she vocalized?

@DEBSPIGZ7 жыл бұрын
She was probably spooked because of the sound of those lousy brakes!!! Come on!! You people are supposed to be elephant experts....ARE YOU KIDDING ME??? You should be putting some of that brain matter to work to at least TRY and understand how the elephants should react.....shameful, just shameful. She's a lot younger, and a female which should be telling you right away that the confounded brakes are going to freak her out....
@KeyAppyMeganpr12 жыл бұрын
I one million percent agree with you!! Honestly, I don't think the guides really care or respect the Elephants and their well-being!! That was totally wrong how he drove and made her move out of his way!! That's HER house and they should respect it!! The human race is disgusting and pathetic!!

If you know that your making them uncomfortable why are you keep driving toward them? What if elephant suddenly attack your car and people get injured who fault is that, you shouldn't be a driver or guide it's clearly that your careless.
@christyefuller63467 жыл бұрын
They should never have whizzed past him/her. They should have stopped much farther back and waited. Not by practically side swiping it. The guide was trying to grand stand and use fear to excite the guests. Teach the guests the right way to be a guide.

@mortalclown3812 Жыл бұрын
Meh. These tours help pay for armed protection against poachers, conservation awareness, land mgmnt and even emergency vetting when humans have caused injury. The elephants know the road is shared... mostly it's ok Habitat loss is real. Compromises must occur... These are working out better than anyone expected, fwiw. Paz y luz.

Soooo why didn’t the driver move off of the road so the beautiful elephant could continue on its way in peace? It would have been more awe inspiring had the driver moved out of their way and not almost hit one with the car and forced the poor elephant off the road. I truly enjoy watching encounters with all the wildlife as long they’re being observed from a respectful distance that doesn’t hinder their natural activity. But no, per usual humans with our sense of entitlement expect a giant elephant and a herd of elephants to move out of our way.

I said sneeze not fart. The elephant is right opposite you, and looking you in the eye and you happen to sneeze, as he wasn't expecting it I wonder how it'd affect a full grown African elephant not 6 feet from you, and how he'd react plus there is nothing but air between you and him.
