CLOSE ENCOUNTER WITH LEAD ELEPHANT, HERD CROSSING ROAD, ETOSHA NATIONAL PARK, NAMIBIA, FEB 2019

Awesome to observe a herd of elephants walk alongside the roadway just inside the outer gates of Etosha National Park, before they crossed the road, and a delicate moment, when the protective lead member of the herd, looked like she was approaching this parked car, before she calmly moved on with her herd. This encounter occurred on Saturday, February 2nd, 2019. Etosha National Park is well worth a visit, a most impressive game reserve, where fellow travellers related amazing stories about animals at the waterholes, including the presence of lions, leopards, and their dramatic and intelligent hunting activities.
