Has planet earth ever had a close encounter with aliens?
While UFOs and their occupants have been part of our culture for more than a century, and people from many walks of life claim to have seen them, we have no indisputable evidence that they’re fact rather than fiction, or do we? Naked Science speaks to witnesses of two of the most controversial UFO sightings, the Rendlesham Forest incident in the UK and the Phoenix Lights sighting in the US, as well as the most famous UFO incident of all time, Roswell.
If unidentified flying objects did come from space, how could they have travelled to earth? And how could they survive in our atmosphere? Close encounters originated with reported sightings of alien craft, but in the last few decades alien contact has taken a new and more terrifying twist, alien abduction. We talk to a so called ‘experiencer’ who claims to have been taken from her bed and experimented on. She believes her claims but could there be another, scientific, explanation for what she remembers? We talk to a neuroscientist who thinks he has the answer.
Finally, we ask possibly the most shocking question of all, could aliens already be among us?

Harvard professor ,Dr Carl Mack believed something was going on .He interviewed people from all parts of the world who had experiences similar to mine(or much more intense.) Believe me, my encounter was frightening because I could NOT identify these beings as human..I almost died from fright. My friend saw this as well.It was a very scary..experience. Both of us are health professionals. I worked in mental health and I'm not mentally ill. I understand it is hard to deal with something that not in your view "rational" many things exist that don't fit the "rational". I love how scientists always apply the evolution of humans to the speed at which they theorize aliens evolved. It doesn't mean they're millions or billions of years more advanced just because their planet may be older. In the late 60's, I watched a classic "Flying Saucer" fly directly over my house less than 100' directly above me....had a brilliant triangle of red lights bottom center. But you are correct in that we are not well suited to our environment, as for needing clothes, only in the colder climates, if we go out into nature. Your overall point is still valid. We need to modify out environment to suit our needs. This is an argument against intelligent design, not my original point. We are still evolved to live on earth. We can exist without shelters, the way animals do, in warmer climates and on plains or in jungles, not colder climates or dense forests. outside of the very narrow range of conditions, we are not suited. But we are adaptable and our intelligence is what allows us to alter out environment to suit out needs. Does the military ever notify local agencies, news channels, airports, etc. of their training maneuvers using flares ahead of time? Wouldn't this be simple common sense to avoid false UFO reports? Further, it would put them ahead of the reports, rather than sounding like a poor excuse after the fact. It's not like these training missions are top secret; and there is a kind of responsibility when conducting such maneuvers over populated civilian air-space. So, why do we never hear reports (like weather reports), giving everyone a head's up that you may see strange lights in the sky because they're running training drills with flares? Further, why do we never see a demonstration of the flare explanation reproducing precisely the effect seen by witnesses? If this is the explanation, show us. prove it. Demonstrate it. Isn't that what "science" is supposed to be all about? Reproduce the sightings using dropped flares. I've yet to see this, either. (While we're at it: Has there ever been an incident of actual swamp gas caught on film? Do we ever see pictures of weather balloons? I mean, if people are mistaking weather balloons for UFOs, why do we never see a photo of such a weather balloon? The photos I have seen all seem to be stock footage, and in no way resemble any kind of described UFO. Again, I've never seen anyone actually test these hypothesis that these are what people are seeing.)

We see the flares all the time in Las Vegas at night when the military does it drills. The crackpots like to report it as aliens despite clearly being flared. The skeptic guy kind is contradicting himself. First he says that there was a government cover up at Roswell because of the Cold War (which makes sense) then goes to tell that now they are telling the truth (which is absolutely possible). The problem is that he then proceeds to say that government cover ups aren't really possible because people talk between them and we'd all have heard about it by now. However, there are many cases of cover ups that took years to be exposed and one can only guess if and how many cover ups were not exposed.
