This week we have made our way to the Fantastic and famous Close House Golf Club which is an absolute delight. Come and join Al and I as we have found one of the most beautiful short courses situated in the middle of the Close House estate.
Dan will be coming out favourite in this short game match but Al can smell blood....

Nice little vlog dan. Well played Al, shame that didn't go in for the Hole in 1. Used to have a little pitch and putt course at a local country park near me which my dad used to take me to every now and then. Gone now which is a shame

Played around that lower area at Close House when it was the Newcastle University sports ground. Was mostly rugby and football pitches but had a nice 9 hole course set around it. I think the nice building in the middle was the sports pavilion. Last time I played, the diggers had just moved in to start creating the championship course. Amazing to see how the whole area has been transformed. Loved the series of vlogs with Al.

That little course looks like so much fun!! I remember learning to play on a little executive course that was all par 3s except 2 par 4s. Tiny little greens like that one. Good times! Also, I was sure Al’s shot was going in for an ace!

I learned how to play on a similar course. They had one 240 yarder but a few of the 9 were under 100 yards. It was run by the city so it was $6 to play and you could play two balls. These courses are super fun to play.
