I made myself a clear perspex cover a while back and had exactly the issues you explained. Funny enough this past week I got a lever lock given to me in bits and put it back together. I thought to myself, "All I have to do is make a window in the metal cover plate where the levers and bolt is to see what's happening". It works fantastic. So you can imagine seeing this video made me realise it was the right thing to do. Nice one!

Brilliant video. Love the idea of milling the lock case. As you said it gives a true picture off what’s going inside the lock . Would have liked the milling to have shown the bottom of the pack so I could understand how you get your wire to move through the pack. I always thought you needed a pre lifter but you have proved that to be wrong. Quality picking and explanation. A joy to watch. Tried to E- mail you but kept bouncing back?
@chrisevanslockpicking92413 жыл бұрын
Thanks mate I could mill out a little more to show the full lever pack. I’ll get that done and get a video out on it. Pre lifters are a joke mate, you don’t need them for any lock 👍🏻

How come the levers don't drop back down like when I try it? Tension perhaps. Nice explanations by the way.
@chrisevanslockpicking92413 жыл бұрын
Hello mate levers will drop or not bind when they are not sitting in the right position. Most locks have a binding order even if you think it doesn’t as all levers may go up but if they are not staying up it’s because it’s not ready, and other levers need to be lifted, and set before you can take the others. Thanks for watching and keep safe 👍🏻
