What a great hack. The Lishi tool is a real game changer where lock picking is concerned. Never used one myself but the idea behind the design is fantastic. Another great tutorial.

I knew about this but honestly forgot about it. I was trying to make a different video originally but when faced with this I figured I better film it and share it :)

I just want to thank you for this video. Once i seen that lot of the pins are almost at the shearline and seeing inside and how little of tension and how little pressure needed to set pins. i have gained the knowledge to open harder locks and move my way up the belt ranking system on Reddit. Your an amazing teacher! Keep up the amazing videos!

Thank you for the kind words. Please remember that the tool I used is what made the pins sit so high. Typically an 8 keypin is not at the shearline but it is very close.

I have opened my 1100 few times. But i wanted to learn more about the lock so I start progressive with staring with 2 pins , 3 , 4 and 5. It helped me understand everytime pin and why i wasnt getting an open because way over setting the pins. you barely have push up on some.of the pins. Really recommend to people learn on 1100 And having trouble feeling the pins

I work for a storage unit company and whenever a tenant loses their keys we usually cut the lock off, but when they have a disc lock, we have to tell them to go to a locksmith to get the disc locks cut off. I was wondering which one I would need in order to help my tenants save money by using this tool to help remove their disc lock and save them more of an expense in the outcome. My question is, how would I know which one would be the correct one to order for a chateau disc locks? Or would it matter the brand of lock? I am a beginner trying to learn but I don't know the proper tools in doing so and I don't know how picky these are with certain locks. Appreciate the feedback!

I would tell them to write down the code on their key and reference it if they lose their key so a locksmith can make a new one

its crazy lishi tools are all made for US keyways. would be real nice if there was one for Yale or some other British/European locks. would you happen to know pal?
@HelpfulLockPicker3 жыл бұрын
I think they are trying to make a Yale one it is just very hard because of the warding. I would 100% want a Yale one that would be terrific

Nice lock cutaway. I thought the whole idea of using a lishi was to decode the lock so you can cut a key for it,

It is both but the shows a benefit from the picking aspect
@randommadness10214 жыл бұрын
Can you actually show us the tool and how it works please mate? Also, is pin 5 a serrated pin and the rest spools?
@HelpfulLockPicker4 жыл бұрын
It is Serrated, Spool, Spool, Spool, Serrated. Look back in my Lishi Playlist there is plenty of opportunities there to watch a video on how they work.

it actually makes it harder if you dont know what the key looks like.
