A close up look at some great orchestra glockenspiel parts. A straight up performance of:
1. Respighi Roman Festivals
2. Sorcerer's Apprentice
3. Respighi Pines of Rome
4. Kodaly Hary Janos
5. Glazounov Violin Concerto
6. Esa-Pekka Salonen's Wing on Wing

The percussionist's Apprentice and the Pains of Rome...quite possibly the most bloody awkward glock parts wrote! Nicely executed....also quick fact...the Sorcerers Apprentice was originally wrote for keyboard glock as Dukas didn't think it possible on a standard glock ...oh ye of little faith!

I've played the Sorcerer's glock part in concert. For me, it's the hardest mallet excerpt in the literature. Nicely done!

Is this instrument tuned to A=442 Hz?

It's not uncommon for metal mallet instruments to be tuned to 442, especially vibraphones

The black mallets are Balter 10s, the grey mallets are Balter glockenspiel mallets ... don't remember the number ... look closely at the video and the information flashes up at different times ... hope you find the video useful!
