Closed In The Shop Extension As Best We Could For Now Nov 03 2023

on the 5th day of this unplanned project, we had the new shop extension closed in as best we could. now we can slow down and work a normal pace not to kill ourselves which is good,,,,, i hope thansk

Finally it took the learning channel to tell the truth about shipping container living. Humidity and condensation are the big factors in building a structure. When you seal things up and stop the air movement all those issues show themselves.

Hello hello hello Mr. King. You got that extension almost weathered in. Man, that Vodka must really work. What'd you move, 10,000 Kiligramers? All that steel had to add up to a tidy sum. I am glad you said you are going to take it easy for a minute. If you put in one more day, you'll have a whole week on it. Even God rested on the 7th day. Hey, thanks for the dope on the shipping container use. I see a lot of KZbinr's trying to make a home out of them and I wondered about the down side of them. Usually along with condensation comes mold, that's important to know. On Alumium windows: I bought my house new in 1981 and it has those slider aluminum frame windows. They aren't that bad. At least where I live. In those 42yrs I've seen some pretty cold and windy winters and yes they did ice up. But, for example; I put a fan in front of the sliding door to the deck and melt the ice off. Then keep it there for a day to dry the liquid off. It's garbage for sure, but it's still on the job. The wood deck is another death trap, I mean story. It has pit falls where they used planks with heartwood right in the middle of them. They are so rotten some have fallen completely out. yes we lifted and moved a lot of materials in 5 days. the shipping containers are point less by the time you build walls in side and such. my 10x30 shack is wood and lots of insulation to make it cheap to heat. thansk

I'm fortunate to live on 30 acres and have room to play with my old farmall tractor's. Everyone wants to be a "homesteader" until they find out how much work is involved. Then they quit. I hope our 135 acres will be enough to isolate us from the subdivision that's planned for next door. I have my doubts. Got to get the barbed wire up before they get established.
