When I saw the title I thought I would skip to the end so I didn’t see YOUR leg being broken. And then I found out that it was click bait and I was relieved. I didn’t need to see that So I went back to the beginning and watched a nice farming video. As a farmer I know the repercussions of a broken leg in the middle of harvest. And didn’t need to see it ever again or feel the pain and frustration. 👍👍👍

In Serbia we have 9-11% corn moister because of dry and hot summer (temperature goes 104+ F degree, 25+ days in August) so we harvest corn in first week of September (in normal year with lot of raining days in summer and normal temperature we remove corn in mid October)...yield was excellent for this dry and hot summer with no rain over 25+ days and it was over 160 bushel/acre or in metric units over 11000 kg/Ha. Greetings from Serbia to all farmers in USA and rest of the world....

In north Germany I harvested corn last day with 32% moisture. Not that dry but it dry here max 25% ist realistic. It's normally silage Mais for the cow's but this year we got the silos full, so rest is for the sale to corn. Yield is 10,9 tonnes per ha (10.000 m2) dry corn (15% dry). Sale price is here 200 € per tonne and dry costs 😢 are 2€ per tonne per % to 15%. Costs me 32% minus 15% is 17x 2€ = 34€ per tonne. So closely 500 € per hectare to dry it down. Good luck to all farmers worldwide!

My mom broke her leg during grain season when I was a teenager. Still drove the combine harvester with the cast though. Ofc the cast didn`t like that, so it started to crack up and my mom would patch it together with steel plastic, as we call it here in Norway. The darn cast kept on cracking, and mom would patch it together again. Fast forward the usual 6-8 weeks, and we went to the Doctor to remove the cast. By that time the vast was mor steel plastic then it was gypsum. And the Doc did have some questions. But the most fun thing about it all, was when he tried to cut thru the cast with a cast saw. Sparks were flying all over the place, and we ended up with the cast saw that died 🤣🤣

Thanks for another great video Zach and Becky and Dad and Onyx and Jim. It was interesting and enjoyable to watch. The title name got me; good idea. Then I realized you meant the GRAIN LEG!!!!!!!!! Good one!!!!!!! Glad you bin company could come right away and take that distributor down and fix it so you can process corn. Hopefully their fix on the distributor will work. Good company to come right away during a busy harvest season. Nice. Glad you were able to get the ripper fixed and ready to on for field work. Keeping tillage equipment going is not easy. Lots of pieces that either break or need adjustment. Busy time for tillage. Brake a leg - ha!!!!!! Good one!!!!!!!! Your corn at 17 percent is fantastic. Wow. That is unusual this time of year. Should let you push ahead with the corn 🌽 harvest now. Go get em!!!!!’ Anxious to hear if they were able to fix your distributor for you grain bin operation. Thanks for everything.
