Your nose looks great. I went through the same shock when my doctor removed my cast. I questioned my life choices but it improved dramatically as the swelling decreased. I’m 2-weeks post op and it looks great. I’m looking forward to seeing it continue to improve.

Its slay!this is my 3 day since i took my cast off. I had a mental breakdown yesterday and couldn’t sleep and just kept me up and wasn’t able to eat, nearly in depression but today i feel so much better even nose doesn’t feel as tight as it did. I just stopped and breath and said to myself im not even 2 weeks without the cast and i been watching vlogs all day and im so glad this is an everyone’s case when you just hate it and say to yourself “what did i do! I want my old nose back” . Now i just need to trust the process.. thank you for that video.

You are so brave for taking out the packing yourself. That shit is DEEP and BIG and when the nurse took mine out my eyes watered to the point where they thought I was crying a lot. I didn’t even want to look at what they took out. I think I would have almost passed out too if I did it in my bathroom. It is such a relief having it out though, feels like that’s when recovery starts to get better.

Great video!!! THank you for all the details! 3rd day is usually when the worst of pain/swelling/uncomfort is at it worst. You are such a trooper. I think not being able to breathe out of my nose would give me panic attacks. I mean I have had bad stuffy nose before but having the packing in there would be a lot. Thank you for showing all of the darker side of surgery- not just the pretty parts. I am surprised you took the packing out. I have always thought the Dr does that in the follow up- for the very reason of what happened to you-passing out. You look like you came through like a champ. You look so good even though you may not feel it. I get severe complicated migraines. I can feel your pain! You did it girl & you look stunning. I thought you were beautiful before, but now that you feel beautiful, you look so much better. Give yourself time to heal! Don’t rush the final look. Give it 6-12 months before you want to do anything more. You just can’t rush healing. Yes, it smells to you- you are meat. Makes sense.

The doctor does typically take the packing out, but their office is an hour and a half away so they let me do a virtual call before hand where they explained everything that I needed to do. You literally made me feel so much better I got my septorhinoplasty done 4 days ago in Wayne NJ. I was scared because I didn’t traveling out of my town to do it, I didn’t look through a bunch of surgeons before I did it which kinda scared me. But I was super scared about the gross pork smell I keep smelling, literally every time I eat or drink or just breathe through my nose the tiniest bit. I literally told my mom is smells like rotting meat so gross. But you made me feel like I’m not alone with that

Thank you for sharing so much of your journey. Tbh, I'm very critical of surgeons after I had to have my ears pinned back twice and they still didn't look like I was made to expect them. I also read the negative reviews of the surgeon you used. Even still, I gotta say your nose ended up looking incredible. I think he did a great job for you.
@Creative.Cliche
@Creative.Cliche 2 жыл бұрын
Every surgeon is going to have some negative reviews, it’s a red flag if they don’t, especially if they are dealing with a high volume of clients. Although I would say that most of the negative reviews were related to scheduling issues and bad office staff vibes, which you will deal with pretty much everywhere. There were a few unfriendly members, but the majority were very nice and overall I had a great experience. I’m sorry that you had a bad experience in the past with another surgeon, it really is a toss up with how that could go. I’m so glad that you liked the end result, I’m still getting used to it! Did you ever go back for a revision on your ears, or did you let it go after the second time?
@toothfairy430
@toothfairy430 2 жыл бұрын
@@Creative.Cliche Yeah every medical professional is going to have negative reviews! Sometimes it comes down to expectations and communication. My surgeon is actually a highly regarded facial reconstructive pediatric surgeon. We chose him for his acclamates and experience. Unfortunately, the 2nd surgery was the revision and having to do that in the office under local anesthesia as a 15 year old completely terrified me to have to do it ever again. He also removed all of my cartilage so there isn't much to be done now. But I'm fine with my ears now that over 15 years have passed. It has just made me hyper aware of the seriousness of conducting thorough research on the specific procedure in question. One of his office members had the same surgery as I did and I remember thinking "yeah this is not his niche." Turns out the amazing after photos you are showed at consultation are taken when the ears are still basically glued to the head with dried blood from the procedure. So I had started with an unrealistic expectation for what he could actually do for me. Anyway, I do hope you grow to love your results. I've wanted a rhinoplasty to fix similar issues and I'd be thrilled to have gotten those results. What matters is that you love them though. I just wanted to put it out there that my critical eye thinks it came out stunning. Love your content and your channel! Hoping it expands in the next year or so.

I am completely blown away. I had my nails done 25 years ago I had a collapsed septum onto one side.. and I had the rhinoplasty part done because why not I’m already having the surgery… I had zero preparation’s. None of those pre-surgery appointments and tablets etc….. A few days after surgery I went back to the doctors office and they removed my packing…. I thought once the packing came out I would be able to breathe…NOT TRUE Due to the swelling you’re not breathing through your nose hardly at all… And yes eating was very difficult because when you swallow you’ve cut off breathing. Who knew that when you swallow air comes out of your nose🤷‍♀️.. My advice for anybody getting the surgery. When you wake up your surgery make sure you have a mirror… once you can see what is on your face you have a better understanding as to what’s happening.. if you cannot see the tape and the clamp on top of your nose everything just feels weird and awful and confusing… A picture is worth 1000 words. When I finally saw what was on my face I had a better understanding and it was no longer bothering me… Sweetheart your end result is absolutely beautiful. It is you only better❤️ your profile is perfect… Your surgeon did an excellent job.. yours is so much better than mine… I ended up building scar tissue on one side of the tip of my nose. So now it is not symmetrical and it really really bothers me.. Just recently after 20 years I went back to a surgeon to see if they could fix it… They told me doing a second rhinoplasty is not a good idea… You could end up with a Michael Jackson Pinocchio tip when you do additional rhinoplasties… I left it alone however I wish it looked better… What happened a week after my surgery… Accidentally in the middle of the night, my husband rolled over and elbowed me in the face! Oh my God the pain was incredible… because I wasn’t healed he knocked my nose out of whack…. That’s what formed the abnormal scar tissue…. The moral of the story is protect your face until you are completely healed❤️. It is a long haul but the end result you will enjoy for the rest of your life…👏👏👏👏👏👏. When you are completely healed you will be so so happy you did it ❤️ Thank you for sharing your journey. I wish I could hug you because I understand exactly what you’re going through… Sending my love to you sweetheart ❤️

You look AMAZING so soon after surgery. I had closed Septo/Rhino, I’m in my 3rd month and I’m still swollen. I had a wide bridge and a bulbous tip. My tip is swollen on my left more than my right and it’s still round and slightly crooked bc of uneven swelling. I’m so scared that this is it no matter how much I know that it can take at least a year and the tip is always last to recover 😩 I can breathe a lot better though. I hate the shadow you see just above my tip that enhances the roundness. I hope that drops a little and the shadow goes away bc then all I see is bulb that I wanted gone lol. My packing was removed by surgeon an hour after surgery before I was released. I didn’t have stints, just the splint. I wasn’t told to do any taping and that also makes me nervous that my nose now is what it will be. Thank you for documenting all of this!! Anyone else having my experience? My surgery was Jan 16 2023 so I’m almost entering my 4th month.
