@@linapesz313 it made her feel powerful to screw around with him even though she was telling the truth. It’s the same reason why she leaves Dan after asking to make tea. She needs to have leverage or power over the other person. It’s also why she never gave Dan her real name

I dont believe alice f'ed that obnoxious guy. I believe she got the ick when she saw a specific aspect of judes character when he was asking her the questions. Afterwards it was easier for her to lie during the breakup rather than explain the truth

Yes, of course because she’s a liar and dan knew it when he realized she faked her name. She told him she stopped loving him when he was acting like larry. Regardless of that the movie is still shit imo

i read the original script for the play, and they definitely f. there is one scene between her and anna where they talk and she says some things that are suggesting they did. amongst other things anna asked her what does she think about his... skills in bed, and alice says the same thing anna did before. he's okay, a bit weird, and she prefers dan

@@chunli6197 Maybe is too strong a word for Alice. But how peculiar for her to be more truthful about her identity with arrogant Larry than with slithering Dan, the boyfriend she claimed to love (and slept around on). These characters were fun to analyze, but none of them are trustworthy.

I personally think that this film is about a deep neurotic relationship and a hidden desire. How a man wants to have something that doesn't belong to him....and another man proofs to be stronger in all ways. I loved the movie.

I agree with you. It shows the difference in approach to love and relationships and the consequences of the path each person takes, especially those who take something that doesn't belong to them. I loved the movie as well, as it shows common problems with common relationships and what tend to be promoted in society today and its consequences.

Larry was composed and did not hit Anna whereas Dan gave into his emotion and hit Alice. Those were key scenes that showed the contrast between the two characters.

How about using pauses, and vocal animation, to make your text more comprehensible...its like someone reading a paper instead of delivering an oral presentation.

the characters don’t have any apparent faith-based-counseling experience or understanding that could help them navigate problems arising in their marriage/relationship or before they arise emotionally they are all existing in a secular quasi-hell evidently even clueless that the God of love is the reality, in delusion they perceive the way they are living their lives as reality
