Closer to the nature 18: Surviving the winter

Winter is a difficult time of the year during which we cannot observe many species of animals. Frost, snow, a short day, less food and sometimes difficult access to water mean that many animals run away from these conditions or try to wait them out. In winter, however, the dormant forest is actually full of life, and every creature that struggles with this difficult season has adapted to it in its own interesting ways.
