Closest Crow EVER!! | Crow Shooting | GoPro Footage

The corvids were still about in heavy numbers on this farm so another trip was in order to thin out the numbers.
A successful morning with another 60+ birds in the bag and some good challenging targets within!
One of the most memorable moments was dispatching a 50+ yard rook followed by my CLOSEST EVER rook at 5 yards!!!
One extreme to the other ay!? 🤣

Great shooting there Rob, I was out this morning and bagged a few, what sort of range are you decoying from the hide to your furthest away? Keep up the good work, just getting used to the 410 Hush power, awesome bit of kit, had to have on after watching one of your vids, shame about the cartridge prices.

Nice shooting Rob. You seemed to have a good system with 2 people shooting, in one hide. I always shot by myself, as I remember a tragic accident years ago near Yeovil, when 2 friends shooting together in a hide, resulted in a terrible accident. One friend jumped up to shoot and his friend also shot, killing him.

Nope, using lead Richard. Because cartridges are so good nowadays I believe the chokes don’t have to be so tight 👍

@@fieldsportswithspeed I use open chokes for pigeon decoying but prefer tighter choke for crows, they take a bit of knocking down compared to a pigeon, nice shooting by the way.

Most of them were 25-30 yards ian. I was using 1/2 chokes and Eley select 6 30 gram fibres 👌

I have hunted all my life. Warning: never shoot crows, they are messengers , brilliant and very spiritual. If you have not already, trust me, you will, be visited by repeated bad luck for killing the crows. Remember these words, very bad thing to do.
