I absolutely love watching Trinny‘s videos on a Saturday. Cozied up with a cup of coffee. I can’t get used to the idea though of wearing pyjamas in public;I feel like I would just look like a lady wearing pajamas at a dinner party. But she pulls it off. Wish I was cooler. ☕️Yes, I too look forward to these weekly videos. It's a chance to live 💫 vicariously through her high profile, glamourous life. Her Closet Confessions make a perfectly delightful Saturday morning treat🍬. 😉Trinny's pretty patterned PJs truly look no different than those soft, loose printed matching 2pc co-ord sets they sell. And, the nude undershirt does add a bit of structure. Love the flat flashy metallic slides that gave an elegant slipper feel. As a matter of fact, my actual co-ord sets actually come w/shoulder pads too. 🥵Live in a hot climate, but these sort of outfits still lean more 🏖 resort vibe than other everyday, ordinary outside gear too. 😊 If you live a more semi-formal lifestyle, they give a perfect loungy, at home vibe that can easily translate to an afternoon of lazy ⚜️brocante browsing. They're something easy & breezy in ☀️sunny, warm weather. 🧐 We can all be a rather rigid about experimenting w/clothes outside their intended purpose. Once bought four pairs of these colorful ankle cropped pinstriped pants from the PJ section that were on clearance. They're made w/this luxe polished 100% cotton that's like a weightier high quality men's dress shirt. 🤫Find that they're way too thick & stiff for actual 😴nightwear. 🎉The trousers are quite feminine & joyful too🎉. They did not come w/tops, but that would've been pattern overload😵‍💫 for me anyway. They always manage to get at least one compliment when matched w/coordinating body conturing tees, a slightly oversized jumper tied around my shoulders, & classic white trainers. Except honestly other people's perception😵 has changed the instant I confess to their origin. Find their shocking upset over my unconventional wearing official loungewear out in public as comical. Other than their color & pattern they look like a classic Spring/Summer chino pant. 💜Love how Trinny refuses to let retailers or others put her in some rigid style box. She trusts her instincts as a fashion forward icon. Adore her absolute self-knowledge & fearlessness. When I know what I love & wear what suits me, it 💯% boosts my confidence. Think it's smart to avoid anything you suspect will overwhelm or wear you😔. If something does not generate a 💥spark💥 of inner courage to be able to laugh off any potential vocal critics out there, I skip it. Also like the bright, young style obsessed ❤️‍🔥 women (& men) that Trinny surrounds herself with in her work world🌐. Ever honest & supportive, they clearly appreciate & applaud her skill, knowledge, & creativity. 😖Too bad some of Trinny's contemporaries only criticize her choices & mock her favorite hacks. 😊Great option. 🤔Think more men & women should peruse the opposite sexes retail section for garments & inspiration, particularly in secondhand shops. №1 Men's clothing is frequently made of higher quality textiles for a lower price point than Women's clothing. They also have some interesting designs & silhouettes that could add value. №2 Women's clothing can offer more 🎭theatrical & confident men interesting details, colors, patterns, & silhouettes not easily found in their dept. There's a husband of a woman style influencer that has no choice but to peruse the ladies section in the thrift stores they frequent. Unlike LA that is overflowing w/Men's clothes, they live in a smaller locale where the pickings are very slim. 😉So far, he's looked sensational in everything he's bought. We need to get over the ♂️male/female♀️ button placement issue. The majority of onlookers won't notice or care the plackets on the "wrong" side. 😊It's something that predominantly gives structure underneath her clothing. Ladies w/sloping shoulders, XL breasts, or XW hips appreciate the ⚖️balance it can bring to their overall proportions. The white boxy cotton t-shirt version w/the jeans shown here, she once demonstrated how Azucena (her sensational seamstress🧵) took the short sleeves of a tee & pulled them inside. This sewing style trick not only helped secure the shoulder pad firmly in place (much like they did when tailoring an actual blazer, leather jacket, or gilet in that earlier era). It gives a 🆒️ cross between 80s futuristic fashion &/or a muscle tee vibe👍. 😳One of the WORST things about shoulder pads back in the 80s was how POORLY the majority were frequently sewed into tops & dresses. They would literally flop around like dead fish😂. You would be constantly readjusting them🤣. 😉Not sure if all of her mesh nude undershirts are completely custom made from scratch, but that wouldn't surprise me a bit. She has an incredible variety of this particular staple to work w/her wardrobe. 🤔Think the Skims brand sells a version of this undershirt. Otherwise, it looks like something anyone could DIY w/basic stitching skills. As an undershirt, no one is actually going to see👀 the stitches, so they don't need to be perfect. Just look for a lightweight body-con nude undershirt that's breathable &/or moisture wicking. One that has a 4-way stretch is preferable, so it won't add any extra bulk underneath anything. Choose a neckline that will work UNDER the majority of your regular garments. You can leave the hem as is or ✂️cut it & re-hem it🪡 to suit your other clothes. Lots of easy tutorials of this step online. Just experiment on a t-shirt you're not afraid to ruin first. 💚Bridget from Cali☘️ (using my pal's YT acct)
