I hope you see this comment! So long story short my mother met you when you were staying at a hotel she works at and she said you were one of the nicest people she’s ever met. You even took the time to talk to her and you let her show you pictures of makeup I’ve done. She called me that day and said, “mija I just met a makeup girl that I think you will love!” Little did she know she was meeting one of the biggest girls in the game. Just wanted to say thank you for being so kind to my mom and for giving her your palette to give to me. She has to deal with a lot of hardships and the fact that you showed her so much kindness really stuck with her and with me. Kris Uler I agree jealousy is not a healthy thing but unfortunately it is a human emotion and some people just get stuck there (which it is sad to me) I am all for women being successful because I feel it does push women to work harder. I am a single mother and work my ass off and jacklyn does inspire me to work harder and I see people could be jealous bc some are struggling to feed their families but we have to understand that it’s not jacklyns fault she has worked super hard for what she has and should do what she wants. Right now, I am sitting in garage converted into an apartment that is probably less than 600 sq ft that is in someone’s backyard. Just remember that growing up she didn’t have a lot of money. Like the stories she said when she worked at Mac, she was sleeping in her car and sometimes couldn’t even afford to eat. If her palette was $39.00(?) x 1,000,000 that’s $39,000,000 in sales, not profit. Yes this closet includes expensive things that some people can’t afford, but if you feel angry towards that then do yourself a favor and not watch the video. As I watched this random video it reaffirmed to me how I wish for myself to be the opposite, also in terms of lifestyle. I want to move in the opposite direction, to simplify my life, to declutter, to value what really matters, to be more aligned with nature and less immersed in artificiality, to give more, to hoard less. I still love makeup and fashion as a form of expression but only to a reasonable extent, I'd never want these to be the center or super important of my life. But I don't judge those people who are enchanted by this lavish lifestyle if it brings them fulfilment, it's just not who I want to be personally.
