I mean, we all knew Closing Time would be nerfed the day it came out. Under Pressure and Opening Shot give 50% benefit on specials. Closing Time is next, it will be reduced by 50% on shotguns and fusions.

Fallout, do you remember the podcast where Mercules was on it? He asked "What would get people to use something other than Opening Shot?" This was probably Bungie's answer. Closing Time is THE competitor to Opening Shot which has been the king for 7 years. If they do nerf it, then it won't be by much because Bungie (and Merc) want it to be a very direct competitor to Opening Shot (which has gotten boring as being king for 7 years) Also because of Closing Time, it opens up other perks in the 3rd column which is a breath of fresh air compared to Threat/OS

I was clued into this perk by True Vanguard, honestly. There is a seasonal sidearm (Insurmountable) that has a curated roll with lone wold and closing time. Literally everyone gets this roll and it is DIRTY in pvp. Curious to get it on other guns (see: this video lol). Fun times when perks end up being hotter than we expected :-)

Honestly I got a 5/5 perpetual motion with closing time and idc what anyone says its WAY faster with perpetual procced and closing vs just closing. Also if they they do adjust it, It probly means having a little extra handling could offset the nerf so dont delete them. I also got a 4/5 lone wolf closing and honestly its so hard to tell wtf the added aim assist is doing and Ive had MUCH more success with my perpetual motion roll cuz I’m noticing adding 10-20 handling to the stat bar WITH alllll those scalars makes it feel much faster in my experience and Im on ps5 with a scuff with paddles. I got like 500 kills with the lone wolf one and im only at like 70 with the perpetual one and Im immediately strongly leaning towards the perpetual motion roll. Just try it out for ur selfves dont write off perpetual motion. Also it proccs while stowed so ur def gonna have at least 1 stack of perpetual. VERY strong perk in conjunction with closing time. 😂🎉

The formula that Bungie and KZbinrs use to cycle in content: 1) Bungie ships new perks and exotics hot and purposely overpowered to generate attention and market DLC/Seasons 2) KZbinrs hype as BROKEN! which helps both them and Bungie monetize content 3) As season gets old KZbinrs switch to how BROKEN! is actually a problem to help soften up the community for upcoming nerfs 4) Bungie nerfs in time to make way for….. 5) Bungie ships new perks and exotics hot and purposely overpowered to generate attention and market DLC/Seasons

@@Narfwak they're not an absolute necessity to have together IMO. CT opens up the 3rd column to other options while still giving decent range and handling, especially with targeting and dexterity mods. Discord \ CT is an awesome roll on Scavenger's Fate for example.

My thoughts exactly. Shotguns , especially in 6's, are the most annoying, no skill , no aim weapons hence why 90% of players equip them cause they're brain dead crutch weapons. Try sniping through flinch that sends your reticle to the moon on mostly tiny maps with 6 enemies running the speed of Light with over shields and wielding no aim necessary shotguns. Now that's a real challenge!

Have a 32.0 kda match on my resume with a sniper equipped too. Maybe 🤔 need to practice more and put down the baby weapons like shotguns that require no aim and almost zero thought in 6's

Never said they were op or too strong, though they certainly are the most favored/the outlier in the ammo economy. I just don't like versing them as a GL user. I've been a double GL user since the Mountaintop quest days, and honestly it was fine then, as special was plentiful and (non FL) GL's could kill without spike. Now you really can't do that, and have to do a lot more with a lot less, especially with the dumb health changes. Everyone and their mother using pulses right now also doesn't help, but it's still manageable. However things have started to turn around now that I've swapped from a spike AL Militia's/FL to Alethonym/Proximity Orewing's Maul.

Hot take. The problem in crucible is not special ammo or ability spam its the pure lethality of every gun in the game. Every gun as so much range and low ttks that its pleaging the crucible. Now im not saying go back to year one but maybe the sandbox as a whole needs to be tuned. Unlike last time where they increased player health and the increased gun damage as the same time maybe we need to look at fire rates of weapons
