It’s one long video 😂🙈 It’s hard for me to make short videos lol

Haha my husband said basically the same thing 'your watching a 50 minute cloth diaper video!?'. But it was very helpful! I unsuccessfully clothed diapered a few years ago, so I'm doing more research this time and hoping this exeprience will be better. My baby is due in March, and I plan to skip newborn cloth diapering, so I have a bit of time.

I am excited to see so many different brands and types of diapers! I love watching your videos because you are so knowledgeable about diapers and I always learn about fabric or new diaper brands or something. Thanks for doing all the research and trying it all out. Defintely makes it easier to get an idea of what I want to try and what will work for us!

There was a point in time a few years ago where I wanted to try everything 😂 and whew, that’s exhausting lol. I searched for the perfect diaper, then I started cloth diapering 2 kids. Then I was cloth diapering 3 kids and I realized different things work for different babies. And there are so many great brands out there ❤️ So many cool options to choose from! There are still so many brands I have not tried lol

In my current stash I have Alva, Mama Koala, Ananbaby, Kawaii, and some no name pockets and covers. As far as absorbency I have microfiber inserts, hemp inserts/boosters, bamboo inserts, homemade cotton prefolds and inserts, flour sack towels, and receiving blankets. I think that's all, I can't remember lol. I really want to get some prefolds to try.

I was silently lol-ing at "I don't think I have a favorite cloth diaper". Mine I'd say is the Thirsties OS pocket diaper for my son, and duo wrap for my daughter. My husband's favorites are the Bumgenius Freetime and Lalabye Baby OS diaper. The favorites have changed a lot over 3 years of diapering that's for sure! Now, it's what fits my newly 3 year old!

I have made all of my diapers myself and really enjoyed watching this video because my diapers are working wonderfully but I've been thinking about buying some just to bulk up my stach a bit without spending a ton more time rite now because I have 5 kids and I homeschool so extra time is hard to come by most of the time. I found your video very informative on a wide range of diapers. Thank you!!

My favorite cloth diaper is..a diy stretchy flat stuffed in a pocket (used to be mama koala but we need new pockets now) for my 15mo old and a diy stretchy flat inside a nickis cover for my 2.5 yr old!

Thank you. Your a big part of why I choose to try to cloth diaper my son. I enjoy it. Thanks. Edit: Currently my stash is 4 2nd hand bum geniuses, 14 alva babies, 20 mama koalas. I love the prints of mama koalas. :)

I watch and enjoy them all! My favorite diaper has changed as my baby’s needs have. I enjoyed covers in the newborn stage, but enjoy pockets and AIOs for out and about and now that we are doing elimination communication. They are just easier to get on and off with baby in my lap sitting on a toilet where ever. If I had to choose a favorite for now, it would be the Undertoggs AIO because I’ve used them since day one in the hospital (they have a cord snap down) and now, 4 months later at 14.5lbs we are still using it and still have room left. For one-size pockets we like the stay dry feel of Bum Genius and to a lesser extent Mama Koala, but also that they fit sooner than the Alva pocket diaper. For absorbency, I hate to say it but one BG microfiber works well for us, as baby girl is a frequent micro-peeing front wetter and the microfiber takes the wetness away so quickly. I had amassed GMD prefolds, FSTs, receiving blankets and bamboo flats I tried in the pocket diapers (pad folded of course) but they didn’t seem to keep the moisture locked away as much as the microfiber. Perhaps we will like something different as baby’s needs change. Loved this video and the quick rundown of all the things about all the diapers and absorbencies ;)

I’m honestly so impressed with the underdogs. Thank you for sending that over 👏🏼 I love the design and absorbency! I think it’s awesome that you’re doing EC! That takes some dedication 💕 we kind of stumbled on it accidentally lol. Willow has been using the toilet since she was 9 months old and it blows my mind that babies can do that 😂🙌🏼 How’s EC going for you with a small baby? I know some people even get newborns into the routine of EC, and those moms are like super heroes in my eyes. It’s pretty impressive!

Will you do a review of the Thirsties Natural diaper? I’m really interested in that pocket :))

I’d like to do a comparison of the natural and regular pocket. There’s not much on KZbin about the nature Pocket. I did some digging before I got it and didn’t find much. I’m going to use it for a few months though and see how it wears ❤️

I didn't know that Lalabye Baby was known for delaminating/cracking quickly 😬 I got one(a pocket) for dirt cheap that looked to be in great shape and it started bubbling/delaminating within a very short time. So far we haven't had any leaks with it yet, but I don't like the front opening and it doesn't fit my son well either.

I haven’t heard too many people talking about it lately. Idk if it had to do with their manufacturer. But it used to be a horrible issue with them! I’m sad to hear you had a similar experience

Also, I'm looking for a pocket diaper that will fit a big baby! I've got a 31lb 15mo old. Hes allergic to pul so we cant use covers 😭. I've got mama koala pockets and nickis pockets. Nickis pockets I feel like have relaxed elastics. Any advice would be appreciated!!
@JaysNest5 жыл бұрын
I feel like mama koala are on the smaller side. And my nickis did that too after 6 months of use! I know there are a few brands with a bigger baby size. Happy flute has one. Nerdy mommas has one. Apple cheeks has a size 3 pocket. Alva might have a bigger pocket 🤔 yeah, I think they do. Bumgenius has a bigger pocket (expensive though). My elemental joy is a little roomier than most of my pockets. I use it on Scarlett and she’s 34 lbs. I’ve used it on hazel as a swim diaper and she’s 41 lbs. it was a tight squeeze for her though I think the most comfortable thing would to buy a diaper that’s bigger sized. I forget which retailer it is, but they sell the happy flute bigger size. Maybe it’s fluffy penguin or happy bee hinds. I’m not 100% sure.
@jessicajohnson46485 жыл бұрын
@@JaysNest I'm gonna replace my nickis elastics at some point when I have time 🤔 maybe I should try that first and then see if I still need to get more roomier pockets. I love nicki's covers for my oldest but I'm NOT a fan of their pockets so far. I'll look into the bigger happy flute pocket for sure though! Thank you sooo much!!

Flats just wash up easier than inserts. So so prefer flats over everything else, though I do reach for prefolds too, but just not as much as I reach for flats. I only use inserts as boosters or doublers when we need extra absorbency.

@JaysNest4 жыл бұрын
I’ll reach out to them in late November-December and see if they’re interested in a collab. If they’re interested in a collab then the first video I release will be a user guide (not a review just a video on how to prep and use it). Then my review will come about 4 months after which would be about April-ish. I like to use diapers for a few months before using it. I have seen about 3-4 recent reviews on the tidy tots system. I know Jess is blessed has a review. Then there are 2 other reviews that have been posted within the past few months from a few smaller channels. Definitely worth checking out!
