Thank you for not apologizing for real life happening while you’re filming!! I love how comfortable you are with sharing your real life. This might sound like a backhanded compliment but I mean it sincerely! Women on KZbin too often are apologizing for real life and I think it makes viewers feel inadequate and embarrassed with simple things. Anyways, thank you ❤️

Awe, thank you! I took it the way I think you were intending it :) I always like it when real things happen because it's just reality, ya know? So I'm happy to hear that you appreciate it too!

Hey just a friendly heads up rockin green isn't recommended for diapers either so if u start to get that barnyard smell u may want to switch it up or add more then a teaspoon glad it works for u though 🥰

Oh so good to know! I never thought about that possibly being an issue, because it hasn't always been (I think it was the vinegar I was adding which I've since learned actually doesn't clean the diapers like I thought it did). Do you have a fave brand you like to use?

Any free and clear detergent like tide will work way better

@@tammylynn4499 Thanks for sharing! We personally don't use TIDE bc of the Think Dirty score (it's high) but I have heard a lot of people having success with it!

Are you washing with hot or cold? Does the washing machine have the temperature option, or is it just you adjusting the temp from your sink? Also, what is the max load of diapers per wash (diaper covers + inserts) that you can fit in there?

Thanks for sharing your routine! Quick question about your detergent: I love Seventh Generation products :) I tried using their detergent for some time and ended up with some smells... still not sure if it was the detergent or something else. Now that this video has been up for a year, did you find that you had any issues pop up with your detergent? Or did it work well for you? :)

Thanks for sharing your routine. I'm changing up my wash routine a little right now. 💜 Heidi

Thanks for watching! I feel like every few months or so, we end up tweaking a thing here or there for whatever reason. I love that the process is flexible enough to learn as you go! Hope your new routine works well for you!

I’ve been debating getting the rockin Greens! I’m trying to use up the Molly’s suds powder I have now.. but I think I’m going to do rockin greens next! Also- girl why don’t you separate the inserts when you change the diapers?? It’s so much easier! 🤣
@thesedaysaregolden3 жыл бұрын
Daniel says the same thing about the inserts! I suppose I need to give that a try 🤪 and I don’t have any complaints about the rockin green. Also this one bag has listed us FOREEEEEEEVER 👏🏾 so definitely recommend!

Yeah!! Watching you go through the load in the washer fishing them all out to unstuff I was like oh.. oh no don’t do that 🤣 definitely try it this week! Oh good!! I keep randomly getting the barnyard smell and I think I need to try something else but hate to have a ton of extra detergents 🤣
@thesedaysaregolden3 жыл бұрын
@@Japulie Haha, I need to! We're out of town this week so doing disposables (bc I don't like to impose cloth diapers in other peoples washers) buuut definitely going to try and remember in the future! Also, before switching detergents we honestly changed our wash cycle (like I mentioned, doing a warm rinse cycle vs a cold) and I think that made ALL the difference! I mean if it's the detergent, totally switch, but I'd play around with an extra rinse before or after to see if that helps. Sometimes it could be just extra build up (which we've had that before too). Hope you figure it out! XO

How many cloth diapers do you think you need for the week? I am thinking about cd
@thesedaysaregolden3 жыл бұрын
The biggest factor is how often you want to laundry and how many diaper changes your LO needs! I wouldn't wait a week to do laundry, as the ammonia smell in the diapers would be STRONG! For us, we do laundry every 2-3 days for my now toddler, who goes through less diapers than when he was a newborn and we needed to do laundry every 1-2 days (because I have a very conservative stash). We've slowly added on more over time... but initially I think I only had about 18-24 diapers? And now I have probably closer to ~30.
