I unified Super Germany in 1839 Step 1: Improve relations with France, Russia, Hessel Kesser and Bavaria. Research Nationalism Step 2: Invite Hessel Kesser to your Custons Union, give them an obligation. (This will cut of Prussia from its Iron supply, forcing them to rollback on military techs). You can probably invite bavaria too. Step 3: Start a war for Cultural Leadership (its on the Cultural tab under nation formation). You will easily crush Prussia. Dont forget to also humiliate them. Step 4: Wait for Prussia to not be a Major Power anymore. They will loose a lot of prestige. Step 5: Start war for German Unification. You will instantly annex ALL german states including Prussia. The end

If you make sure that Prussia is not a GP when you do the unification play, you can get them in as well. It is quite easy by releasing Pomerania and Danzig in the leadership war + maybe taking Silesia, which is BASED.

It also helps if you break up and absorb Prussia's customs union by swaying and bankrolling the German minors. Similtaneously weakens their economy and cuts them off from their holdings in the Rhine.

How do you "release" Pomerania and Danzig? Do you mean taking treaty port? Or conquering the state? Or is it other war goal?

Oh, I just found it: the Release Pomerania/Danzig its only accessible for ADDING those wargoals into a war already escalating. Such a shame that I can't start a war already aiming for releasing a country, and also it seems that I cannot see which states will be released.

Well you didnt have prussia so not really completed germany, in my playthrough yesterday i did a neat trick of putting bavaria and hesse-kassel into my customs union, cutting off prussia from the entire rhineland, and the subsequent war made them a minor power that i annexed in a unification war,

You actually don't get any economy of scale bonuses from the first building so for a cap of 20% you need to build 21 buildings or more. For the max cap of 50% you need to build 51 or more.

Ok cool But you can do better If you kick Prussia from great power BEFORE you form Germany you can...... forcfully integrate them in a leadership play for like 75% less infamy You can even do leadership play twice, one to eat the small states, then another after Prussia falls below, then form Germany. I was at like 1.5 Billion economy 1880 and my play is in no way optimal A way to make the play better is to try to grab opium from Egypt faster

Honestly it wasnt that hard to form Germany as Austria. I bumbled my way through the early game industrializing and avoided fighting Prussia unless russia and france joined. I only really fought them once I had skirmish infantry. After that it was a joke. You really dont need a guide tbh, just dont die to Prussia for a few years haha. I'm not trying to brag I'm just saying it was a way too easy
